Ahead of Powerlifting America nationals this week I thought I’d share my reading of some of the new IPF rules, and how I expect they’ll be applied on the platform.

We’re due a Perk-Hunte line update.

For those new to this series, this line, drawn between the outlier performances of Austin Perkins at 74kg and Rondel Hunte at 120kg, shows the potential for the 83s, 93s and 105s.

We should expect to see totals in these classes rise disproportionately in the coming years - especially as these classes are well populated.

In order to at least touch the new Perk-Hunte line we need to see:

83s: 924kg (+20kg, +2.2%)
93s: 957kg (+37kg, +4%)
105s: 997kg (+18kg, +1.8%)

What a joy it is to love something for so long, and still find new ways to be excited by it.

This viking press machine is my new excitement. I’m 15 years into lifting, and yet this is something brand new to me.

It’s got the same fundamentals as other movements: It’s something I can push hard and progressively overload.

But I’m also so bad at it. There’s a lot of opportunity to learn. I can watch videos of people doing it and try to work out new things. I can see progress with every session.

Giving up a pursuit of the squat, bench and deadlift has been tricky to navigate, but it’s been nice to find other ways to be excited.

The outliers of 2025.

The IPF athletes who totaled, squatted, benched or deadlifted more than anyone else in their class in 2025, and the margin they out lifted their closest competitor by.

Only two lifters appear in these lists more than twice:

Agata Sitko appears 6 times, for the 69kg bench, deadlift and total, and for the 76kg bench, deadlift and total.

Jesus Olivares appears 3 times, for the 120+kg squat, deadlift and total.

All data is pulled from @openipf. Classic lifters only. Thanks to @openpowerlifting contributor @squat.meme.deadlift for uploading the results of French nationals so I could finish this post!

Austin is home.

The challenge with events and live production is that things will go wrong. Your ability as a team to fix those issues on the fly is the difference maker, and it’s where the fun comes from.

Running SBD Austin, everything was just comfortable. Our team was on point, and that meant things were relaxed, the event ran smoothly, and I felt at home throughout. The debriefs from Austin have all sounded similar: “That was smooth.”

Thank you to everyone who made SBD Austin such a success.

Record progressions from 2010 to now.

After seeing @willowlifts_ break the unofficial 93kg total record yesterday, I wanted to see how often the unofficial weight class records are moving.

Raw totals, tested feds only. Data from @openpowerlifting.

USAPL has released another update for their qualifying totals for nationals.

Data for raw open classes are shown on slide 1, with the QTs as of Jan 2024, Sep 2024 and Jul 2025.

Slide 2 shows what these numbers look like using DOTS.

Frequent changes seem to be the new normal. As recently as 2018 USAPL was committed to updating its QTs every three years. They’ve now changed three times in just 17 months.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.

Advantages of Anonstories
