우주복, 방어복 등에서 영감 받아
‘대비‘라는 개념을 시각화했는데요!
인물의 내면과 사회적 억압의 대비,
원작의 고전적 실루엣과 현대적 소재의 대비,
극 후반부로 갈수록 액체가 흐르는 듯한 표현을 가미하여
새로운 세계를 마주했을 때 순간의 감정을 표현 했습니다.

⚊ 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀

콘월의 마르케 왕의 조카 트리스탄은 아일랜드의 공주 이졸데를 왕의 신부로 모시기 위해 호송한다. 그러나 이졸데는 과거 트리스탄이 자신의 약혼자를 죽였다는 사실로 깊은 원한을 품고 있다. 굴욕적인 결혼보다는 죽음을 택하고자 한 그녀는 트리스탄과 함께 독약을 마시려 하지만, 시녀 브랑게네가 몰래 그것을 사랑의 묘약으로 바꿔놓는다. 이를 마신 두 사람은 세속의 한계를 넘어 영원한 사랑의 결합을 꿈꾸게 된다. 그러나 그들의 관계가 발각되자 트리스탄은 치명상을 입고 고향 브르타뉴로 옮겨진다. 그는 치유되지 않는 상처의 고통 속에서 이졸데를 기다리며 생명이 다해간다. 이졸데가 도착하는 순간, 트리스탄은 그녀의 품에서 숨을 거두고, 이졸데는 절망과 초월의 경계에서 ‘사랑의 죽음(Liebestod)’을 노래하며 트리스탄과 영원히 하나가 된다.
