‘Genocídio do Yanomami’, by Claudia Andujar, considered one of the most significant voices in Brazilian photography.
–
‘Genocídio do Yanomami’ (Yanomami Genocide) is a major monograph by Claudia Andujar, published by Void and developed in close collaboration with Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo, Brazil). It brings together an extensive body of previously unpublished photographs made between 1971 and 1989 among the Yanomami. Originally shot in black and white, Andujar rephotographed and re-illuminated these images in 1989, revealing new angles and distortions—reshaping their meaning and urgency for that moment and the years that followed. Alongside her artistic work, Andujar co-founded the Pro-Yanomami Commission in 1978 with Yanomami leader Davi Kopenawa, a 14-year effort that led to the demarcation of Yanomami Territory in 1992. Yet the struggle continues: illegal mining and state violence persist. This book bears witness to a people whose future has been continually threatened, and whose survival remains a fierce, ongoing resistance.

‘Dimma Brume Mist’, a monumental new book by JH Engström.
-
“This work is an overview of the main lines in my archive. It approaches the oscillation between rural and urban, and between opposing yet complementary elements, emotions and thoughts. Also, between the images and the words. My perspective is that of the observer rather than that of an active participant.
All the images in this book have been directly scanned from the contact sheets, and none of the images in the 672-page book has previously been published.” — JH Engström

Hey! This is @andrea.koesters and welcome to day 5 of sharing my favorite books with you all. This is Sistermoon by Siri Kaur. 🌟
Sistermoon feels less like a book you view and more like a world you enter. It’s an intimate and shifting space built from years of looking closely at one person, and ties to an entire family’s history. Siri’s photographs carry a vibrant tenderness, but also a sense of curiosity that never settles. Her sister Simran appears and reappears across time and we witness her transforming through the years. The blending of her family archive with Kaur’s own images creates a layered, nonlinear story. Here in these pages, past and present cave into each other and memory becomes something presently unfolding.
What stays with me most is the sense of trust embedded in the work. There’s a gentleness in how Siri navigates closeness. We see how the act of documenting becomes both a way of witnessing and of staying connected, even across distance or time. The presence of the landscape and other vivid, symbolic details gives the book a wonderful sense of magic. Sistermoon ultimately feels like a meditation on what it means to grow alongside someone, to see and be seen over time, and to hold onto that bond within an ever-changing world.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
