En nombre de la supervivencia, desarrollaron el ankoku butoh, para procesar el trauma. Movimientos lentos, tensos y profundamente expresivos caracterizaron la memoria encarnada de la guerra. Un gesto de oración, protesta, súplica, diálogo y devastación surge detrás de las cenizas.
