We set out to make a movie in a month…but had no more money to spend. It took a bunch of people who were willing to let me stuff flowers in their mouths and a lot of thrifty work-arounds, but we did it!

Thank you to everyone who helped, to the band and to @stepchildren_ , for all the sketchy situations you put yourself in to get the right shot… for your eye and attention to detail and countless hours of tinkering… I Love you.

Can’t wait to play this song, along with all the others off of our freshman record at @casbahsandiego with @please_askforpaul and @thedimesofficial in 3 weeks!!! 4/24, mark your calendars!

🖤Jenna

Track 3: Patchwork Sky

This song was the first I’d written in a long time- I dusted it off from being in the vault- brought it to the band and it was revived in the making of our debut album: “Time Will get away”

✨Listen to the rest of this song and album out everywhere ✨

“Asleep in a dream
Under patchwork skies
I’m caught in the sheets
Tangled up in the long night

I’m punching out stars
ripping at seams
Im foolin’ myself
They don’t know I’m unraveling

In a matter of time
Hear the wind chime
And wake up to find

I’m not in a dream
But I watch them float
And heaven’s a light
That’s streams through the window

On a bed of clouds
In a blanket haze
I’ll pinch myself
Make it all just go away

In a matter of time
Hear the wind chime
And wake up

We’re all lost
In a vapor scene
And no one knows
The shadow they’re casting”

To the people that made this song cool, thank you:

@buffalobisonbuffalo : back up vocals
@iamtheeggman_100 bass
@tom.peart drums
@lomo5150 engineering, mixing, synth, percussion
@mrmaster3000 mastering
Andrew Armerding: bass +guitar

Big thank you to @kayleedaughertymusic for taking magical footage for this mini music vid

The next episode in our album series is…
Track 2: Minute Hand

The title of our debut LP “Time Will Get Away” is taken from a lyric in this song.Upon reflection, a few themes recur throughout the album, one of them being TIME: how it shifts things (for better + for worse), how it slips, and how we evolve within it.I play off the proverb: “There is a time for everything.”

It contains a hopeful kind of sadness.Longing and grief.Crafty perseverance meets inevitable change. The fight against and for acceptance.

One of my favorite songs to perform live! There’s something special about the way @tom.peart plays the drums on this song.The steady thump and the pulse of a heartbeat.And it wouldn’t be the same without @buffalobisonbuffalo singing beautiful harmonies.

This song was mixed and engineered by @lomo5150 at his home studio. Most of the album was recorded live as a band and really retains that feeling.

Drums @tom.peart

This is the first of a series of posts I’ll be sharing—going through our debut album one song at a time.  Let’s start with track 1! Slide 👉🏻through to see:

New Year:

This song is unique because it was recorded before I formed the band. I’d been taking guitar lessons with @ianown@mozepics for quite a few years, and that eventually led to songwriting classes. I’ve written songs since I was a teenager, but I stopped for a long time, and Ian helped bring them out of me again. He encouraged me to start recording, so I bought my first audio interface and began making demos in my bedroom.  I wanted to put New Year out as my first single, so I asked Ian to produce it.  He helped me set everything into motion. We recorded our own parts at home and sent it off to @lomo5150 for drums.  Ian did the initial mixing, and we asked @jordankrimston to button up the final mix.  Despite the fact that I didn’t have a band when this song was recorded,  it’s inseparable from the larger body of work.  New Year is so special to me and really sets the tone lyrically for a particular season of my life that most of these songs are about. Recording this song was the genesis of all that would come to pass later: starting Poor Thing, playing unforgettable shows, and recording our first album!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
