An unusual crinoline, adorned in shades of gold, crafted from scratch with recycled mirrors and plastic crafted to look beautiful. The crinoline opens into a beautiful beaded dress with handcrafted silver foil adorned petals on the bottom.

A NEW DREAM | 01

If you look closely and for long enough, the first look of this collection is filled with “SUN” motifs. The inspiration behind this design are the drawings that Rapunzel, the lead character of my favourite Disney movie (Tangled); keeps painting on the walls and ceilings of the tower she’s forced to spend 18 years of her life in.

The sun represents a constant pull toward something bigger—hope, truth, and freedom. Likewise, in the real world, it reflects that inner voice we all have, the one that pushes us to look beyond what society expects and move toward our innate human desires.

One thing about me is that I love to tell stories. I love to watch situations, people, theories or any other kind of nuances connect. So naturally, I chose storytelling as a medium of curating my first capsule collection.

The last slide is interpreted into interconnection and belongingness. How a new version of the same girl is born who starts transitioning soon; taking a personality shift and a leap towards growth, self confidence and freedom.

A NEW DREAM

“Light finds her, she becomes it.”

This capsule collection consists of three heavily hand-embroidered and meticulously curated ensembles, each individually portraying a distinct phase of a girl’s journey while collectively showcasing her transformation from a life of limitations and uncertainty to one of growth, self-discovery, and newfound confidence. As she navigates different emotional phases, she learns to break free from fear, embrace change, and pursue aspirations she once believed were out of reach.

If I would want to give one advice to all of you fellow humans, (I really could give many, but lets stick to the collection here because that would be appropriate to say);
it would be- Be courageous and delusional enough to run behind your dream. No matter how unreachable it may seem momentarily. Because you know what? By the grace of the Almighty and your hard-work and a little bit of luck I suppose; once you do achieve it and are aimless in your life again; in that moment, exactly then, you’ll get to have “A NEW DREAM”.
