If you have a teen or pre-teen, you’ve probably noticed there’s a real gap in the skincare aisle. Most products are either baby gentle or packed with strong adult actives, which can make shopping for something “in between” feel confusing and overwhelming for both kids and parents.
Young skin is different. It has its own microbiome, a different oil balance, and a more delicate barrier, so harsh ingredients and complicated routines often do more harm than good at this age.
Enter Prereq Care, a new brand created for this often-overlooked age group. As both a mom and a dermatologist, I was excited to consult on a thoughtfully developed line for teen and pre-teen skin, focused on simple, barrier-supportive, microbiome-friendly formulas.
