omg where do I even start? I truly cannot believe I turned my dream into reality.
To be one of 10 performers selected for this year’s show is something I never expected to achieve this early in my life, but here it is 😭
It’s real, and I made it.

First, I want to say how much it meant to me to perform on Europe’s biggest pole stage and tell my story. The Right Side of History, with the keffiyeh as a central part of the piece, was deeply personal. I will never stand on a stage that big and not take the opportunity to speak up about what truly matters.

The past few months were a complete emotional rollercoaster. There were so many moments (more than I can count) where I questioned if I even deserved this. If I could do my people justice. The imposter syndrome was so real, and hard to fight.

But there were also moments where I looked back and saw all the hard, true work I’ve put into becoming exactly who I am and who I want to be.
I feel so deeply connected to the Palestinian cause, to the freedom they deserve.
I poured my heart and soul into creating this piece from scratch, to a song I adore, to express the weight and emotion of being children of the Middle East.

thank you @cutiewhippingham & the whole blackstage team, for offering me a space to tell my story through movement.

And the crowd—oh my god. The screams, the energy, the love. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I’m so honoured to have shared my story with you.

This journey fills me with so much pride. This community is out of this world. I’m so grateful that pole found me.
I’m so grateful to call myself a pole dancer.
