New year new rig! Decided to try something new and fly some battery powered and wireless data fixtures. The @asteraofficial titan tubes have been rocking the @moetheband backdrop curtain since January and creating some killer looks. With the ability to adjust every aspect of it makes it one of the most versatile components of this rig. Supported by an additional 160 pixels of @germanlightproducts KNV lines, eight X4 wash and four @elationlighting DTW-700 blinders. All controlled by @ma_lighting_international 2 lite
The concept was to find a way to emulate some automation without actually moving any lights. Having the 16 titan tubes in the air and eight on the ground to be able to make the room look huge or shrink it down and direct the audience focus to the band makes for some dramatic perspective shifts.
Looking forward to pushing the programming further and further throughout the year and finding ways to make it more interesting for each and every show!

From his early days stealing quarters off his dad’s dresser to play video games at a nearby gas station (standing on a case of beer to reach the controls), Preston has exhibited creativity, resourcefulness, and a gift for entertainment. The @quarryamp in Santa Cruz has to be in the top 5 venues I’ve ever visited - and next to red rocks - top venue I’ve currently photographed.
