LEGACY VA002 is a continuation of Move ur gambettes, the mentoring program led by DJ and producer Bernadette for FLINTA* artists looking to develop their music production methods.

Launched in Paris and Grenoble, the program brings together three to six emerging artists in each city for a four-month journey combining creation, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

In total, participants benefit from four advanced workshops in computer music (using Ableton Live) and two comprehensive mentoring workshops focused on empowerment, communication, and administration. The program also serves as a collective space designed to foster exchange, support, and artistic autonomy.

The VA002 compilation is the direct result of this process. It showcases projects shaped throughout the program, where group dynamics enrich individual songwriting.

On a sonic level, VA002 unfolds like an organism in flux: vibrant and dense textures, internal pulsations, and gradual evolutions compose a constantly transforming whole.

Through this second release, the LEGS label affirms its committed approach to music production, where support and creation are inseparable, and where new forms emerge—both through the tools themselves and the contexts in which they come to life.

Past And Future Coalescence is an EP composed of tracks written between 2020 and 2021, a pivotal period in Kop-Z’s artistic evolution. The record captures a moment of transition, where familiar structures begin to fracture and new forms emerge, still driven by the same rhythmic core.
The opening lays down a heavy, inhabited pulse : Past And Future Coalescence and Styx move forward on incisive kicks and a taut groove, allowing a fragile light to seep through. A promise barely perceived, quickly swallowed.
Chaos disrupts the balance, pulling the listener into a jungle and drum & bass vortex, its intensity extended and reinforced by Kicks 2025, a raw and uncompromising pulse.
The remixes then shift the perspective. Qant deepens Chaos, increasing its weight and gravity. Flames Disperse slows time, dissolving Styx into a downtempo drift with dancehall undertones, leaving a final suspended echo.
An EP as a passage : where past and future overlap, without ever resolving.

Past And Future Coalescence is an EP composed of tracks written between 2020 and 2021, a pivotal period in Kop-Z’s artistic evolution. The record captures a moment of transition, where familiar structures begin to fracture and new forms emerge, still driven by the same rhythmic core.
The opening lays down a heavy, inhabited pulse : Past And Future Coalescence and Styx move forward on incisive kicks and a taut groove, allowing a fragile light to seep through. A promise barely perceived, quickly swallowed.
Chaos disrupts the balance, pulling the listener into a jungle and drum & bass vortex, its intensity extended and reinforced by Kicks 2025, a raw and uncompromising pulse.
The remixes then shift the perspective. Qant deepens Chaos, increasing its weight and gravity. Flames Disperse slows time, dissolving Styx into a downtempo drift with dancehall undertones, leaving a final suspended echo.

Parisian bass music regular Qant makes their debut on Sound Enforcers with a 3-tracker that aims to broaden the spectrum away from their usual output of ‘by the book’ oldschool jungle, following in the steps of their duo Dead Thread’s recent tunes.

This EP is packed full of different flavors, from the title track’s obvious nod to the cold and methodical techstep bangers of the mid 2000s, to the intricate breakwork and modern sound design on display with ‘Lvls’, while ‘Astrophysics’ brings a more melodic twist to the ensemble with lush chords and pads galore but still retains the edge and the grit that ties the whole release together. Membre du la web radio et label Egregore Collective, affilié au label Trajectoire, deuxième couteau du duo Dead Threads avec Skwig, Qant est rapidement devenu un acteur incontournable de la scène ‘bass’ Française. Ce nouvel EP regorge de sonorités variées : du titre éponyme ‘Pushr’, hommage évident aux morceaux techstep froids et méthodiques du milieu des années 2000, aux breakworks complexes et au sound design moderne de « Lvls ». Le tout en passant par « Astrophysics » qui apporte ici une touche plus mélodique avec ses accords luxuriants et ses nappes synthétiques, tout en conservant l’énergie et la puissance qui caractérisent l’ensemble.
