While still plying his established singer-songwriter Americana swerve, Will Quinlan’s nascent side project (with studio partner, co-writer/producer, mix master guitar wizard Jim Blaisdell) offers an echo of his familiar rough-hewn sonic approach melded with earnest and at times almost etheric indie rock-pop tangents resulting in a nuanced, deftly balanced tension between grit and melodic grace.
