FUNDAMENTALS is a slower-paced class with deep movement that packs a punch. Ample time is spent on alignment and strength, as well as dance.
FUSION is our original high-energy, fast-paced class format. It’s challenging, but oh so much fun.

It’s official: Yesterday, Rena Marie Guidry taught her last Rhythm & Motion class in the Bay (for now) and while we’re trying to play it cool, we’re all really going to miss her. 🥹
Since 2011, Rena has been a steady presence with Rhythm & Motion at both ODC and Berkeley Ballet. Merging the expansive energy of an artist with the grounded presence of a leader and the empathy of a nurturer, she is a generous teacher and a true force for uplifting people and building community wherever she goes.
Now she’s off to Portugal to start a whole new chapter. We couldn’t be more excited for her…and we’re holding the door open for a little R&M magic to follow her there. 😉

14 incredible years dancing with Rhythm & Motion in the Bay Area… what an unforgettable journey it’s been!
Leaving my beloved dance family behind is bittersweet, but my heart overflows with gratitude for every step, every class, and every shared moment that has shaped me.
Now, my family and I are embracing a new chapter in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal.
I’m filled with excitement to build new connections and bring the vibrant spirit of Rhythm & Motion to this amazing city. If you know of any inspiring dance studios here in Lisbon, and dancers who would love to be a part of this joyful community; please send them my way—I can’t wait to start hosting popups and growing our R&M community.
To my R&M Bay Area family: thank you for being my foundation and my inspiration.
