RHA Gallery
One of Dublin's leading public art galleries. Since 1823. Our galleries are currently closed. Reopening for the 196th RHA Annual Exhibition on 25 May.

Last night #Phizzfest was honoured to be joined by Sharon O’Meara for a personal reflection on the remarkable legacy of her great-grandfather - #Phibsborough resident Albert G. Power RHA, the leading sculptor of the Irish Free State.
For over three decades, Power’s work shaped the country’s architectural, religious and political landscape through his distinctive public commissions.
The evening also featured a contribution from Art Historian Síghle @BhreathnachLynch, author of ‘Expressions of Nationhood in Bronze and Stone: Albert G. Power RHA’, offering further insights into the artistic significance of Power’s life and work.
🙏 hosted in the Mater Hospital’s Pillar Room

Yulia Gasio Masterclass – Sat/Sun, 20/21 June
This two-day masterclass invites painters to work directly with the moving figure through quick, time-based studies, bypassing preliminary sketching and entering immediately into paint.
The focus is on seeing through colour—training the eye to register form, movement, and spatial rhythm as they emerge in real time.
Working from live models, participants will explore the figure using limited palettes, including double primaries and secondary-based palettes.
Each session emphasises speed, responsiveness, and clarity—allowing colour temperature, value, and edge to do the structural work traditionally carried by drawing.
Yulia Gasio Masterclass
Sat/Sun, 20/21 June
Cost: €220
Apply at rhagallery.ie/events/masterclasses/yulia-gasio-painting-the-figure-in-motion-using-limited-palettes (link in bio).
Applications close NEXT Mon 11th of May at 4pm.

The Dictionary of Irish Biography (DIB) is Ireland's national biographical dictionary and one of the flagship research programmes based at the Royal Irish Academy.
One of the latest entries is on Barbara Warren RHA (1925–2017).
‘Mostly content with traditional subject matter, including portraits, landscapes, interiors and still life – occasionally combining all four by framing her interiors with an external window – Warren featured scenes from Connemara and Achill especially, but also Howth, Spain, Italy, Brittany and Mauritius.
‘As a mature artist, she created lightly simplified, rigorously linear representational paintings, further stylised through using pale tones of rich colour to develop a mood of quiet intensity. She guided the viewer’s eye by offsetting the angular framework with carefully positioned curved or asymmetrical shapes, while flashes of bright pigment add to the sense of harmony and rhythm.’
Text taken from Barbara Warren RHA’s entry in the Dictionary of Irish Biography. Read the full entry, written by Terry Clavin, on the DIB website (link in bio above).

Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
