Lots of nice moments this weekend visiting my daughter. She shared with me a Whitney Biennial catalog from 1987 she had picked up from a bookseller in Bellingham. Coincidentally that was the year Robert Helm was included from her grade school hometown. I was excited to share with her Oscar Tuazon’s three block long installation made with the Suquamish and Muckleshoot Tribes. What an incredible accomplishment and a large part of a Seattle waterfront transformed from the one I remember. #roberthelm #pullman @_water_school_ #whitneybiennial #seattle

Huge thanks to the Walla Walla Foundry for welcoming our museum group to their facility. President Jonathan Follett shared fascinating details about the fabrication of some seriously ambitious artworks. Follett also highlighted how the Foundry became one of the largest contemporary art fabricators in the world. All in our backyard. The group photo was taken in front of a Lynda Benglis sculpture and the video is from their website which is a great resource for exploring their portfolio of past projects. @wallawallafoundry @wsuartmuseum #lyndabenglis #bronzecasting #wallawalla
