Introducing Buffet Magazine Issue: Riso Magic.

A magazine of design, art and sandwich dialogues, published by Sandwich Press.

For our second issue, we enter the layered, in-between world of Glom Press @glompress , a Risograph press, comics publisher and community space based in Reservoir, Victoria.

Issue 02: Riso Magic
Shared Impressions: Risograph, Comics, Community

This issue follows a conversation with Bailey Sharp and Ben Juers at Glom Press, exploring the slow work of editing, teaching, printing and sustaining a creative publishing practice.

Glom Press exists somewhere between minicomics and graphic novels, between self-publishing and institutional legitimacy, between the immediacy of the Risograph and the careful labour of collaboration. Their work reflects a belief in comics as a living, iterative medium — shaped as much by ink density, paper stock and distribution networks as by narrative and drawing.

Through this issue, we look at Risograph not just as a printing method, but as a way of thinking: foregrounding imperfection, repetition, shared labour and the visible hand of production.

Releasing on the Melbourne Art Book Fair at NGV International @ngvmelbourne , 15-17 May.

Does independent publishing still matter?

In a time of speed and endless scroll,
some things choose to stay different.

Maybe that’s the point.

Excited to share designs for a street poster series for @behindthelanes_ event hosted by @byaxialyn , a visual exploration of Melbourne’s laneway culture and the collaborative spirit behind the event.

The posters translate fragments of the city, café rituals, and bar culture into a layered collage system, reflecting the exchange of ideas, practices, and people that happens behind the counter.

Behind the Lane is a multi-day hospitality exchange bringing together international cafés and bars with Melbourne’s local community through guest shifts, shared menus, and conversations across craft.

Brand Identity for Fika, a social platform built for women who want real connection — without friction, pressure, or performance. Creating space for conversation, discovery, and shared experiences, cutting through surface-level socialising to make room for something more genuine.

Built on bold type and strong colour, softened with open layouts and loose illustration. Enough energy to feel alive, but not so much that it overwhelms. The idea was to make everything feel easy to step into — nothing precious, nothing intimidating.

Social post identity for @xiaohongshu_rednote WTForm - an ‘unconventional’ designer interview.

For this 4th issue, we focused on the idea of the epiphany through designer’s ‘tongue’, emphasizing on the characterful take on food as an inspiration across different design practices.

When the flow of water meets the deconstruction of characters, when the breath of ecology collides with the edges of art.
This time, we invite seven creators from diverse fields—sketching the flow of water with brushstrokes, dialoguing with light and shadow through colors.Transforming lines into poetic symbols in water,we redefine the boundaries between life and beauty.
Words drift like fish;light and shadow weave like algae.

Collab 🔛 Lightbox Aquarium
非必要不合作Nidea.Night X ruiruidotcom⚪️

Sometimes creativity doesn’t happen in the studio, but at the breakfast table. Smearing jam across a slice of toast can feel like painting — unplanned, messy, but strangely full of imagination. Those small doodles and gestures might just be the very first sparks of the day.

In collaboration with Nidea.Night, I designed a lightbox aquarium called “Toast.”A toast feels like the first canvas of the morning. It’s a reminder to eat well, to live well, and to embrace the playful, imperfect beginnings of creativity.

In this piece, you’ll find milk, jam, and scattered sketch-like lines. The colors are bright, the shapes are loose — a little chaotic, but warm, like a morning sunbeam spilling across the kitchen table.

Together with other artists in this collaboration, we each transformed our own language into different objects and stories. For me, it was about preserving that sense of freedom — that the very first brushstroke, even with jam, can already be enough.

A “Toast” to Creative Mornings. 🍞☀️

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
