This is mind blowing and honestly we love how this turned out!! It completely changed the fire pit area, it’s the new statement piece and it made the whole space feel so cozy and finished!! The black finish made everything feel so much more custom and high-end — especially after refreshing our old rusted fire pit too!! Grab some @rustoleum Low Odor Premium Spray Paint and see what happens?

They have so many beautiful color choices, and I can trust that it’s great quality paint that will adhere easily to these metal tables, lights, AND woven baskets. I did opt to use their Low-Odor Primer on the tables first for added adhesion — I know those will get lots of use!

And the best part — the odor is minimal and doesn’t linger so I can feel good about bringing these items back inside as soon as they’re dry.

Colors: In The Green and Dusty Rose

Used Rust-Oleum Chalked Ultra Matte Paint in Tate Green to add a little detail to the top of each table — love how this paint dries!

And took a few minutes to upgrade the lamp shades with the same fabric I used on the headboard and window treatment.

Because it really is all in the details — now the room feels custom and fun, and my girls are over the moon!

Not every project has to be time and labor intensive — it’s amazing what you can transform with a can or two of spray paint!

Now — what to do about the valance? Keep it? Cover it in the same fabric? Paint it the same green as the tables? What would you do?

Testing the “unexpected red” theory with a @RustOleum Color Watch 2026 Palette shade (Poppy Red)… and I get it now. It’s less about matching, more about shifting the whole room.
Used their spray paint (paint + primer in one) so it covered fast, dried quickly, and made the whole process feel way too easy.
