today is the birthday of my favorite person to explore new corners of neighborhoods in new pockets of the world (to us) to look for the best cup of coffee (@zendocoffee in Albuquerque and @nomadcoffee on Passatge Sert, 12, in Barcelona), the best chocolate chip cookie (@plsthnks in Louisville, KY), the best eclair (@stohrer for the salted caramel eclair, fixed in my heart; @rhubarbe_mtl in Montréal for a strawberry one that is incredible), the best doughnut (old-fashioned at @vgdonut in Encinitas; the red rice doughnut at @winsonbrooklyn) …

… and for all our travels all around the world that we’ve done and look forward to doing, I’m just as happy making weird faces at a bar to send photos of to our respective moms so they know what we’re doing. snuggling with our dog and taking the one-thousandth photo of him sleeping with his teeth showing (the dog, not Andy). picking nits about movies we’ve just seen while eating string cheese and kicking away the coffee table again because we both rest our feet on it the same way.
