Luxury functions as a language, learned, recognized, and expressed through images, materials, and symbols. In contemporary culture, this language is no longer confined to exclusivity or tradition. It circulates freely through street aesthetics, pop iconography, and global brand imagery.

Language of Luxury brings together familiar characters and luxury codes to explore how status is communicated today. FREE-FOR-ALL: A last-minute, open-call art show.

AFREE-FOR-ALL (adjective): a chaotic, unregulated situation where everyone is allowed to participate and anything can happen. No theme. No gatekeeping. All artists can hang 1 piece, under 24". It is free to hang with a 50/50 split commission.

Artists are always walking into Studio6 asking “How can I be in an art show?” Well… this is your chance.

This post goes live Monday at 5PM and the clock starts immediately. You have 48 hours to get your work into the show.The only two rules:

1️⃣ Deadline
All artwork must be dropped off by Wednesday 3/18 at 5PM. Not 5:05. Not 5:30. After that we simply cannot accept any more work. It’s not personal — just the rules of the chaos. Gallery is open at 2pm both days for drop off.

2️⃣ Size
Your 1-piece of artwork can be any medium, but one side of artwork must be under 24 inches. That’s it. If you have any size questions, please just send a DM.

SHARE THIS OPEN CALL. If you don’t make art, send this to someone who does.If you do make art and want to showcase one piece, this is your chance. Don’t ask why you weren’t invited. There are no personal invites. This is an open show for anyone who sees this post. All artists are welcome.

At 12:00:01am on January 1, 2026, while the world’s eyes were fixed on the ball drop, Studio6 Gallery quietly made history @artnet @artnews As the new year officially began, a curtain dropped inside our Lower East Side space, revealing the first art show of 2026 in the continental United States. In a moment measured in seconds but remembered far longer, Studio6 ushered in the new year not with fireworks, but with art—staking its place as a cultural first while the rest of the country was still counting down.

This historic opening was made possible by six extraordinary female artists, whose work marked the very first artistic statement of 2026. We are deeply grateful to them for trusting Studio6 with such a meaningful moment. Just three months into our journey, this milestone reflects what Studio6 stands for: moving fast, leading culture, and creating moments that matter.
