Het geslaagde project met de studenten van @firdamusicproducer was niet mogelijk geweest zonder een aantal bijzondere mensen achter de schermen 💛

De studenten kregen maar liefst vier inspirerende masterclasses — elk met een eigen blik op het muzikale vak.

🎛️ @samhanlan nam ons mee door de unieke ruimtes van @thefamousgoldwatch studio en vertelde open over zijn (niet altijd rechte) weg naar een carrière als producer.

🎹 @jacqnoise gaf een hands-on workshop in het @synthmuseumberlin waarbij de studenten vooral veel zelf konden uitproberen!

💻 @klashenriklindblad deelde zijn werkproces en keuzes in soft- en hardware — van idee tot productie.

📣 Alex Lindblad (@neptunemusicagency) gaf praktische tips over promotie, zichtbaarheid en waar agencies écht naar zoeken.

🎹 Jacqnoise gave a hands-on workshop at the Synthesizer Museum, where the students had plenty of opportunity to try things out for themselves!

💻 Klas Lindblad shared his work process and choices in software and hardware — from idea to production.

📣 Alex Lindblad (Neptune Music Agency) gave practical tips on promotion, visibility and what agencies are really looking for.

Tradition never interested me when I was young. But the years have soften my stoney view of the ancient parts of my home country. England has churches the feel as old as the landscape, but older still is the pagan music which became our carols.

In The Bleak Midwinter was originally a poem penned circa 1872, and today is one of our most beloved carols. No matter how far away I feel from my country, this song will always have me pining for some imagined shared past of Christmas in England, and a proper roast dinner by the pub fire.

Here in Berlin, where the winters are the bleakest, I recorded this version and nine other traditional carols alongside @lotta_st_joan for @sonotonmusic

I filmed this behind the scenes with my super 8 camera while recording the EP in February 2024. I guess it caught the essence of what it was: six beautiful days at @ranch_and_chapel with @tomasperaltaberlin , the ducks, the qcats, and the dogs. We were lucky to be joined by @elsdeer and @samhanlan for the last two days.

It was a special time, and I hope this will make you want to listen to the EP.
