Stylist & Visual Merchandiser for 2nd Street - Haight, San Francisco @2ndstreetusa
Style: Luxury/Designer
Theme: Formal
My styling thought process:
I’m used to styling colors and graphics all my life since my previous track records that I’ve been flamboyant in my own personal style. But for this project, I wanted to change it up
This cream buttonless @tomford fine cashmere polo sweater is the epitome of elegance. Technically this is a masc mannequin but omg so controversial! (🙄), I styled it with a women’s @zadigvoltaire black double breasted blazer. Yes, “women’s” clothing for a man
I needed some edge to the elegance and these black leather @diesel pants were calling my name. Not double but tripled down on the leather with black woven leather @marni loafers & black @newbottega haddock ankle boots. Rounded it off with this iconic 1-of-1 movie-worn scarf that Gru from Despicable Me himself wore a total of 26 times during his tenure in the franchise. He really ptso fr
Lessons learned:
- Monochromatic isn’t boring!
- Simple doesn’t always mean basic
- Men, you can wear “women’s” clothing too. I give yall permission
- Collars over the layering piece, subtle yet significant detail
- Unlocked new scarf styling method, no need to abide by what society deems “normal”
- Leather footwear yummm
- Wish the bottoms were a bit wider
- Neck ties are overrated
- We also didn’t have any ties
- I wasn’t gonna use them anyways

For this project, I didn’t want to go full-on gorpcore because let’s be honest… it’s too easy. Some random rain jacket. Nylon parachute pants. Salomons. Arcy beanie -.- So whenever in doubt, spice it up with street :D I started off with a cream @poloralphlauren jacket as my foundational piece, along with some brown Japanese designer parachute pants
This is when the right side of my brain started tingling. What if I added a sports jersey? And the results.. 🥁 not too bad in my opinion. Adjusted the vintage @cubs jersey in the rear and styled it with a half tuck in front to emphasize the ruggedness of the aesthetic. Found the perfect accessories for the concept with not one, but DOUBLE nautical flag belts, criss-crossed 🍎sauced style. If you don’t believe in fate, there’s living proof
@evisu1991 light washed denim bucket hat but make it backwards. Branding is cool and all but it gets to a point yfm. To conclude, @emporioarmani checkered brown messenger bag & @asics x @nonnative Gel-Yeti Tokyo Hi @goretexstudio boots
Lessons learned:
- Don’t be afraid to blend styles together, especially ones that you aren’t used too
- “Belt” -Travvy Patty

Yall so hooked on @acnestudios jeans but let’s take a moment to appreciate this acne bomber jacket (which i didn’t know was reversible til now!). Paired it with this @alyxstudio scarf and @ottolinger cargos. Lastly, mint @reebok & brown yeezy dupe @representclo on the feet.
Proud of this look - possibly my most cohesive one yet. Nice to round off 2025 with this

Honestly, this fit didn’t require much thought & came pretty naturally for me. It can easily be a fit you see on the streets - I didn’t want to do too much. So quick breakdown:
@wrangler denim jacket
Olive flight jacket
Looks to be diy @levis jeans done tastefully
@betterwithage.co multi-plaid cap
@newbalance sneaks
@salomon sneaks
@nike boot sneaks
Lessons learned:
- Denim jacket under a different jacket still does wonders

Theme: Wintertime
My styling thought process:
Can you guess what the statement piece is? lol this vintage jacket was too sick that I had to use it as my foundation. I wanted to accentuate the figure more so I cinched the back *chef’s kiss* I resonated with this navy @poloralphlauren parka jacket, which lowkey made it all types of confusing for me as I still didn’t have a set theme - I just let it come to me along the way. Ended up with the perfect 🍐 of bottoms to 🍐 with the red piece in this @bally embroidered nylon pants, initially meant for the femme mannequin. But shoutout Vik for providing me another set of eyes in order to offset the couple. Other additions were @roahiking & vintage burgundy cowboy boots on the feet + gray bottoms on the femme (forgive me for forgetting the designer label). Even after the outfit bases, they still didn’t look cohesive enough for me, so I rounded off the looks with a red @telfarglobal tote and navy cossack hat to blend the color scheme & theme.
Lessons learned:
- This fashion shit is meant for me fr

Style: Luxury/Vintage at storefront table
Theme: Night Out in NYC
My styling thought process:
My first attempt with the storefront table. I chose this theme for the anticipation of my first trip to NYC, which also happened to be my first solo trip ever! Yknow I had to do a couple’s fit-off so although I failed to make it look like an arm wrapped around the other’s body, I did my best Akimbo impression with the visuals
Speaking of visuals, when I visualize the epitome of a NY fit, I instantly think of fur, hence the vintage fur jacket. Paired it with some @miumiu burgundy crocodile heels and finished off the look with a textured @coach wristlet. On the other hand, I went with an all black leather look. Gorgeous jacket from @sandroparis and chic yet eye-catching @johnvarvatos glitter toe chelseas. I tried adding some bottoms but then it all looked too cluttered… to a degree, it still does…
Lessons learned:
- Less is more
- Visuals are essential
- Texture piques interest
- No need for a whole fit at the storefront table
- Be more mindful of spacing
- We 🫶 @sandroparis

Gorgeous jacket from @sandroparis and chic yet eye-catching @johnvarvatos glitter toe chelseas. I tried adding some bottoms but then it all looked too cluttered… to a degree, it still does…
Lessons learned:
- Less is more
- Visuals are essential
- Texture piques interest
- No need for a whole fit at the storefront table
- Be more mindful of spacing
- We 🫶 @sandroparis

Style: Luxury/Vintage at storefront table
Theme: Night Out in NYC
My styling thought process:
My first attempt with the storefront table. I chose this theme for the anticipation of my first trip to NYC, which also happened to be my first solo trip ever! Yknow I had to do a couple’s fit-off so although I failed to make it look like an arm wrapped around the other’s body, I did my best Akimbo impression with the visuals

Style: Avant Garde
Theme: Dark Academia
My styling thought process:
Alright, this is unfortunately all I got for the half mannequin. No additional accessorizing or pictures in its respective display area. I found avant garde to be tricky, for good reason - it doesn’t fall under one distinct style. It can be categorized as “avant garde” as long as it has an unconventional silhouette or artistic concept to it
I’ll make this brief but I found this intriguing @robertrodriguezofficial x @neimanmarcus x @target black sleeveless blouse. Who knew Target had motion like that LOL before this black blazer, I was debating on another loud piece in a CDG Junya Watanabe plaid wool blazer with patchwork, but I’m glad I didn’t. I wanted to implement some sort of accessory to wrap around the blazer & cinch the waist + add contrast to the outfit - that’s where the scarf came in. Lucky enough, the scarf was long, thin, & dark enough for it all to be possible. The owl imagery was the icing on the cake, especially in relation to the theme
Just a bit disappointed in myself for not creating & fleshing out a full world for the outfit. All in all, I made something out of nothing and that’s always something I should be proud of
Lessons learned:
- Finish what you started
- Better background for overall appeal
- Continue experimenting!
- Scarf as a belt > belt as a belt
