Two years ago today we lost our brother Matthew Urango aka @colaboyy. This release is our way of honoring our friend. Shortly before Matt left us he released a couple anarcho-punk songs under the name The Guild. He wrote and recorded them in a single day. They’re incredible and really spoke to us as a band and as his friends.  
 
The A side of this record is a cover of one of those songs, “Pawns of War.” The cover art features a mural painted in homage of Matt by our good friends. The B side is a cover of Stiff Little Fingers’ “Alternative Ulster,” an anti fascist and anti imperialist song written by a band from Belfast in the 1970s about the English occupation of Ireland; a band and a song we bonded with Matt over. The cover is the mural of IRA volunteer and activist Bobby Sands. A martyr from Belfast, Ireland that Matt expressed great respect for.  
 
Each record was created by hand and packaged by us. Each one comes with a foreward about the release. There are 32. One for each county in a united Ireland, free of England’s imperialist occupation. 
 
All records will be sold at the cost of production. As we do not wish to profit from Matt’s art. This record is our way of paying homage to our friend and to his family. To honor his legacy. To help ourselves grieve. They will be available at the show tonight.  
 
Pawns of War is available on all platforms.  
Alternative Ulster is exclusively on Bandcamp. The link to the full release is in the bio along with a link to Matt’s original.  
 
Pawns of War was recorded and mixed by @nate__bot at Mudville Studios in Corvallis, Oregon.  
Alternative Ulster was recorded and mixed by @vxamador at @room__eleven in Oxnard, California  
Both tracks were mastered by Will Killingsworth @dead_air_studios.
