Hometown love is always special. Love from Knoxville and @bigearsfestival is always special. Thank you to @wsj and @larryblumenfeld for this beautiful show and album review. “Electrical Field of Love” has arrived and this is just the start for @harriettubmanmusic and @georgia.muldrow. Grab it on vinyl, CD and high-res DL.

“The music coheres into one loud, unbroken suite, and yet each track possesses its own character and dynamics. On “Anatomical Fable of the Elements,” atop a snaky bassline and a throbbing beat, Ms. Muldrow poses questions: “Is your nose witness to the sweet life?” “Isom Dart Was” presents a murky, joyous take on dub music. Ms. Muldrow’s voice rises from a spacious mix to guide the delicate phrasing of “Is No Match for You.” It swoops down playfully in “A Black Song,” over a swung rumble of drumbeats. Mr. Ross traces alluring melodies near the end of “Assata.” On “Don’t Stand a Chance, After the Boom,” his phrases hit like a boxer’s jabs. Throughout, foreground and background blur. Dense layers of carefully manipulated sound—elements that seem alienating in some electronic music—are tethered to Ms. Muldrow’s mostly improvised words to suggest the complexities of human emotion.

Here, a fifth collaborator, producer Scotty Hard, played an integral role. Mr. Hard, who worked on Harriet Tubman’s previous two albums, is a protégé of Teo Macero, whose studio editing marked several Miles Davis classics, including “Bitches Brew.” @scottyhard

This album is a very special one to me and is now available. This is the third Tubman record I’ve done and for this we were joined by the incomparable Georgia Anne Muldrow. She brought some real magic to the sessions that has created a different kind of Tubman album. After almost 6 months in the hospital at the beginning of 2024, I headed back to the studio to put these tracks together after the recording in the fall of ‘23. What came out was a magical, mystical explosion of love. I just got on a plane for the first time in 15 years to see the band at Big Ears in Knoxville and they put on an intense performance, complete with Georgia Anne in silver space heels! Stunning. Released by the good people at Pi Recordings. Dive into the waters now. @harriettubmanmusic @georgia.muldrow @melvingibbs @brandonrossnyc @leftyrhythm @pirecordings #freejazzfunk #hiphopjazz #stonerjazz

I spend a good part of 2025 making an unusual new record with my good friend and frequent collaborator @stevenbernsteinmusic He asked me to take pieces of his record with the ResoNation Trio (with @nasheetwaits and #scottcolley) and create something completely new. Not a remix but a reimagining. Ultra Resonance is the result. The first single is out now and the full album comes out June 5 on @royalpotatofamily Start your experience now.#newbeats #hiphopjazz#newtrumpetmusic #stevenbernstein

Ingenuity. With the assistance of the kind proprietor of Ellie’s Cleaners in Ditmas Park we figured out a way for me to get my dry cleaning back home to Flatbush on a sunny Saturday in Brooklyn. Have zipper, will travel! #wheelchairhacks #wheelchairsesh

Here is my little drum machine ensemble that was employed for my latest project with @@stevenbernsteinmusic It’s a wild new project coming in 2026 on @royalpotatofamily
It’s a dual release featuring his Resonation Trio with my contribution titled Ultra Resonance
Thanks to Takeshi @maindragmusic for fixing my Roland TR-606 and to Sandy @soundgasltd for the Bias BS-2. But the most important drums come from @nasheetwaits with a contribution from the homie @jeremygustin. Special thanks to my man OP Miller and Omar @seratosample for their awesome new Sampler software that I deployed for much of the project. A real game changer.

Great seeing my brother @stephanesanjuan at Radio City Music Hall last night with @christinacampanellamusic playing with @davidbyrneofficial Fantastic show with a new band/show supporting his new album. Some wonderful new artists and some old friends in the band. I’m always so happy to see friends doing well and playing great music. I feel more and more how important it is for us to support each other through these times, high and low, cuz choosing to make art is a difficult and risky proposition. Spread love ♥️

My dear friend and great artist Konstance Patton was injured in a car accident this summer. As a victim of a car accident and one who has been the beneficiary of many years of support from people near and far, known and unknown, I urge you to lend your support. Every little bit counts. Please help now. 🙏♥️ Link in bio

This is the original location of Calliope Studios, my first real hip hop home from 1989 to around 1993, where I met and worked @djprincepaul , @wearedelasoul, @junglebrothers4life , @blacksheepdres , Resident Alien,Ultramagnetic MCs, Tim Dog, Boogie Down Productions, the Lifers Group, Brand Nubian, Gangstarr, @stereomcsmusic , PM Dawn, the Beat Nuts, DJ Mark the 45 King, the Brand New Heavies, Stetsasonic and many more. It’s where New Kingdom started when I met @suttonclocks and @nosajfromnewkingdom and the tape machine caught fire at the first session! Back in those days my job would be making beats, recording vocals, mixing, editing, taking money & writing receipts and cleaning the studio and the bathroom often all on the same session! Down the hall might be Tribe Called Quest or @danteross and SD50 working on tracks for KMD or 3rd Bass. Or it might just be some up and coming group that saw the ad in the back of the Village Voice every week. A lot of crazy days up there on the 23rd floor. And pray the elevator doesn’t go out or you’re walking up those rat infested stairs! At one point in probably 1990 I shaved my head (much to the chagrin of the owner of the studio). At that time Paul had his Dew Doo Man label and wanted the studio manager Ronald, who can be heard on “Who Do U Worship “ on De La Soul is Dead and who had dreads, and me to start a group. @plugwondelasoul suggested the name The Last Men on Earth. But alas Ron wouldn’t wear the dashiki so it never happened. Those were days!

#SexMob live at #TheOwl @theowlbk straight off of their European tour was a special treat for all of those who understand Pythagorean telepathy applied to the Siri-enabled conspiracy theory jokes, Ellington/Mingus music theory lessons and telekinetic stage shenanigans!
Tireless leader and trumpet player #StevenBernstein @stevenbernsteinmusic lead the quartet through a Nino Rota tribute to Hal Willner, some truly beautiful tunes from the 30 years of group compositions, tracks co-written with their long time producer #ScottyHard @scottyhard (also present in the crowd), a crazy off-the-rails Liza Minelli cover, a smooth and vibey Buffalo Springfield closing number and so much more…
This band is so good and has been so good for 30 years now, thanks to Steven’s leadership but also to a solid rock, sliding and gliding #TonyScherr @tonyscherr on bass, always attentive and responsive #BrigganKrauss @briggankrauss on sax and and always creative and sonic percussion shaper #KennyWollesen on drums (and electronic drum pad), who, as Steven said himself we should write on social media, was “killing it” (you shouldn’t believe everything you read on social media, but you can go ahead and believe this!!!).
Great concert and I’m so happy I went.

Word on the street is that the beautiful Owl is closing its doors in the near future so you should all get out there and show Oren and Jennifer some love and thank them for all these years of great live music and community building! Support live music!

30 years ago @djprinceoaul, the one and only Teo Macero and I worked on a record called Mistaken Identity for @vurnt22 9 months ago Vernon called and asked me to mix what is essentially the follow up to that record, making a very compelling bookend to a friendship and working relationship that has stood the test of time and has spawned a beautiful new record that I’m very proud to have been a part of. The first single was released today and is called The Haunting. The album is called Hoodoo Telemetry and drops in September and is a wild ride through the mind of this great artist and his crew of musical misfits.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
