It’s time to kick off our community events season here at D’Best Urban Farm and what better way to do that than partner with our dear friend Julia Hill @sculpturethings for a Spring Garden Sculpture & Art Market.

Come eat, drink, and be merry while supporting local artists, local food culture and continuing to grow together in collective abundance. We’ll have starter plants, a seed swap, a clothing swap, and a Sculpture Garden for you to find that perfect piece for your home or garden.

Come for local nibbles from some of our favorite local food providers and the happy hour cocktail bar with drinks by our friend @ev_artistic_chemistry!

Many thanks to @sculpturethings for being the kind of friend who will imagine all the things we could do with all this industrial grade metal. Today my printing press FLY moved for the last time to @southriverartstudios. We’ll be having disassembly parties to reclaim her and give her new life after several years in storage.

Many thanks to Tony for helping to crazy queerdos move a 1 ton piece of metal with a pallet jack & a box truck. 😂

STAY TUNED. It’s the end of something cool and a beginning of something cool, and a good death to an old friend with a new friend. 💜

I’m almost done carving this 2’ x 4’ woodblock for the @biginkprints workshop this weekend @southriverartstudios
I’m really happy with how it’s coming along,
But I’m struggling with how to handle the large white areas and the storm clouds. I’m afraid I’ve removed too much and now I don’t have many options….woooops. Oh, art…

Anyone have any suggestions or good artists to look at for relief print cloud inspiration ?
This feels pretty ambitious, and it’s been a challenge to get back to printmaking after so long. Special thanks to @speedball_art for the student scholarship (couldn’t have participated without this!) and the support from my cohort and faculty at @unr.mfa.ia

Joined by Atlanta’s bar fairy Elenore Vincent, local Cellist Deisha Oliver, and sculpture from Julia Hill, we’re transforming D’Best Urban Garden into an immersive culinary art experience that transcends the five senses.

As the veil between worlds is thin, we ask you to surrender to an evening where flavor, sound, scent, and light converge into an immersive ritual of art, fire, beauty, and nourishment.

Featuring the late-season harvest from Delicious Best, this multi-sensory dining experience blends culinary alchemy, live music, and visual storytelling into a celebration of transformation and connection. Every bite, note, and aroma tells the story of seasonal shedding—a multi-dimensional offering to the senses and the mystery that binds us all. This is not a dinner. It’s a passage between worlds.

this event is a donation-based fundraiser to support Taria in her transition to Italy. Plan to spend 60-90min for the experience, but stay for as long as you like. Tony & Lennie will host the after party starting at 9p.

Artist Julia Hill presents an interdisciplinary art project: ʙʟɪɴᴅ ᴡᴀꜱʜ

🌀About the project:
ʙʟɪɴᴅ ᴡᴀꜱʜ combines methods of water management, regenerative landscaping, and waste stream diversion to create a living, experimental sculptural medium for public art. It frames public art as a tool to expand our ways of observing and being in the world. It is a public art installation that offers the opportunity to interact with and learn from plants, animals, and the myriad of physical processes that sculpt spaces over time.

🌀Venue: South River Art Studios (Airstream Gallery) 1300 Fleetwood Dr SE, Atlanta, GA, 30316

🌀Opening Event: Wednesday, October 15th 6pm-9pm

🌀Dates:
Outdoor exhibition/Installation: October 2025-October 2026.

🌀Gallery exhibition: Oct 15, 2025 -January 15, 2026.
