Versace Doll, also known as "The Seattle Medusa," is a Seattle-based drag entertainer, host, and producer known for high-fashion visuals, dark glamour, and immersive performances. A daughter of Sapphira Cristál, from RuPaul's Drag Race; Versace blends theatrical storytelling, nightlife, and elevated drag into unforgettable experiences across Seattle. Nakita Venus (they/them) is the Executive Director of The Seattle LGBTQ+ Center. They are deeply committed to the joy, healing, and liberation of their communities, particularly fellow queer and trans people of color. Their experiences as an educator, advocate to LGBTQ+ survivors of violence, and as a deathcare worker center their value of self-determination.⁠

Adrianna Suluai (Suga/She/Her) is a proud and unapologetic Faʻafafine from the beautiful islands of Samoa, dedicated to uplifting Queer and Transgender Pacific Islanders (QTPI) and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities. Her work focuses on civic engagement, environmental justice, harm reduction, gender-based violence prevention, and dismantling systemic barriers, ensuring that marginalized communities have access to vital resources and opportunities. With lived experience in direct support services, she brings a community-centered approach to advocacy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two fur babies, Ocean and Popo. Adrianna remains steadfast in her mission to create a future where marginalized communities can thrive authentically and without barriers.⁠

Kevin Wang (he/him) is an out and gay family physician who serves as medical director for the LGBTQIA+ programs at Providence-Swedish and Providence St. Joseph Healthcare System. He previously served as a board member for Seattle Pride and is thrilled to stay connected with this amazing organization. He also serves on the board for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, and Kentucky and the National LGBTQ Task Force.⁠

Meet our Moderator! 🎤⁠

Mattie Mooney (they/them) is a non-binary leader in the trans community. They are also a passionate trans health educator, co-founder of the award winning Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network, currently leading the production of the 2026 King County Trans Resource & Referral Guide with Coalition Ending Gender Based Violence and a columnist for the Seattle Gay News (SGN). In partnership with Converge Media's LGBTQIA+ weekly show "We Live In Color," they co-anchor the SGN News Brief. They have also been honored in major media, including The Seattle Times—where they were named one of 50 Seattle LGBTQ+ people who helped shape Seattle—as well as Alta Journal, where they were named one of the West Coast's LGBTQ "trailblazers." They were also recognized as an SGN "All-Star" in 2024 for their invaluable work supporting trans youth, families, and trans women of color.⁠

Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. This year's theme is "At the Heart of Democracy" and it couldn't feel more timely.⁠
⁠
Around the world, 65 UN member states still treat consensual same-sex relationships as a crime. At least 62 limit free expression on issues of sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics. Only 18 countries allow people to legally change their gender based on self-determination, and just 9 have national protections against unnecessary medical procedures performed on intersex minors. And still, LGBTQIA2S+ people and their communities keep organizing, resisting, and building something better. That is what being at the heart of democracy actually looks like.⁠
