Sebsongs Modular is exhibiting at Music Machines Summit 2026 in Stockholm on April 25 and 26! Come and have a chat and try out my modules. 🙂

Music Machines Summit 2026 brings together all aspects of Electronic Music, makers, programmers, and performers in a shared space of discovery. Exhibitions, demos, and inspiring performances showcase new instruments, tools, and ideas. By fostering connections, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, Music Machines Summit celebrates the dialogue between invention and artistic expression — exploring the future of music together.

Tickets are 200 SEK for both days including an evening event on the 25th.

In this patch both the MIDI and CV/GATE capabilities of Bread & Butter are utilised, creating two separately sequenced and different sounding voices with only one module. The CV/GATE voice is also using the chord mode to make the patch even more complex. This becomes quite a fun little jamming setup when combined with Rhythmatic, ST Mixer XL and a reverb.

Modulation driven patches are always fun! Here Bread & Butter is being sequenced by Odds, but it is also modulated in several ways - both pitch and velocity is slowly wobbling along with a faster modulation for the instrument selection. All modulation has been fine tuned with the Attenuvert x6 and Offset x6 modules. Finally the sound has been augmented with a classic shimmer reverb where the amount of shimmer also varies over time.

All modules in the patch is @sebsongsmodular except the quad LFO by @doepfer_musikelektronik and effects module by @tiptopaudiofficial

Sampler was very much intended as an in the moment performance instrument for gritty textures and happy accidents. Lately I’ve really been enjoying having two samplers handy when playing the piano, either for looping or creating an atmosphere, or like in this melancholic piano piece - both!

There are so many rhythmic patterns to be found in nature. Looping the splashing of water against the rocks with the Sampler creates almost mantric patterns and makes a really nice foundation for improvisational ambient modular music. In this patch, Odds and Bread & Butter takes care of the polyphonic melody, and the 2hp Loop makes the melody a little more interesting with its reverse playback capabilities.

I designed a 24 hp 3D printable battery powered case to see how much fun I could have with a very limited but portable setup. Combining Rhythmatic and the ST Mixer with a guitar amp really is such a fun rig to play with. Pushing the amp into distortion gives the analog drum voices so much more character!

The case and power supply is still just a prototype, but let me know in the comments if any of you would be interested in getting hold of a case like this! I might consider taking orders on them if there’s a demand.

I’m very pleased to announce that @perfect_circuit now are stocking some of my assembled modules! Rhythmatic, Sampler, Bread & Butter and Mute || VCA x6 are all in stock and also available to try out in their store in Burbank, California. ✌️

I’ve had a Juno 60 in for some repairs this summer, and what better way is there to do the final tests than patching it with some of my modules?

In this patch the Juno 60’s arpeggiator is being clocked by EUCLIDEAN, which is also clocking and resetting RHYTMATIC and triggering the 909 kick from Plaits. Everything is mixed and sent to a stereo delay with the ST MIXER XL with some of the channels first going through the new MUTE || VCA x6 module.

Live performances, easy access and flexibility were the core ideas behind the MUTE || VCA x6 module. The six switches on the right edge of the module create great access to muting and unmuting audio and signals while having another hand free for filter tweaking. 

In this demonstration, the first four channels are configured as mutes and the last two channels are configured as VCAs - showing just one of many examples of how this module can be used in different ways and setups.

MUTE || VCA x6 might not be the smoothest of module names, however this module is a utility gem that packs a lot of punch per HP. In essence, MUTE || VCA x6 is six clickless and DC-coupled mute channels in 8 HP that can be used for muting virtually any signal within a Eurorack system. Each mute channel can be set on or off either by pushing the corresponding illuminated switch or by feeding it any signal that goes over +1 volt above ground.

Six channels of mutes is surely a great thing, but what if you could configure each channel to be either a MUTE or a VCA? This module allows you to do just that! -(And this is also where the name comes from; || meaning OR)- On the back of the module there are six switches, one for each channel, and these can be set to either MUTE or VCA. This means that the module can be configured to any combination of MUTES and VCAs you wish. In VCA mode the CV input offers linear CV control over the VCA. The switch adds +5V to the CV input if it is activated, effectively making it possible to switch the CV input between bipolar and unipolar behaviour which is very handy when controlling the VCAs with LFOs.

The inputs are also normalled through the switched jacks, so connecting a signal into the first input cascades it to all other channels. This is perfect for sending one sound to different effects, or distributing a clock to several modules and having the option to turn the clocks on or off dynamically.

Finally, with the mute switches laid out in a row to the right makes this perfect to mount to the rightmost edge of any Eurorack live system, enabling easy access to the mute switches during a live performance. All in all, this is by far the most flexible and feature packed module in the Sebsongs Modular ”x6” utility series of modules!
