The 2nd Annual @uefa_unofficial Glasgow Tour—nament’s this Saturday, May 9th! Meeting on the Cavendish Street Pitch at 11:30a.m. with the Tour starting at 12p.m.!!!
The aim of the Tour—nament is to play on as many free public football pitches in one day as possible! It’s free to play and the Teams are officially drawn at random on the day from the pool of players in attendance with all levels of Footballing experience welcome and encouraged!
The Inaugural Glasgow Tour—nament Final last year saw the Govanhill Park team and the Cavendish Street team line up against eachother in Govanhill Park after a day of looping around the southside pitches with the Away side edging it 2-1 with a composed finish with the last kick of the game!

Co-organised by Glasgow based @secretgroundsman and Dublin based @1815fc as part of an ongoing DIY Football collaboration that began in 2024. 1815 F.C. was founded in 2017 and have been playing on the free public pitches around Ireland (mainly Dublin) every week since. In the build up to their 5th Annual Tour—nament last year the Secretgroundsman travelled to Dublin to help restore an abandoned public pitch as they’ve been doing in Glasgow since 2018.
The Unauthorised European Football Association (UEFA) was founded in 2016 in response to Dublin being “awarded” EURO 2020 host City Status by the other UEFA. These major Tournaments do nothing to benefit the people that actually live
in these Cities and with EURO 2028 taking place in both Glasgow and Dublin it is our aim to create cross City solidarity to counter the other UEFA and build lasting community through DIY Football!
This event takes place alongside another collaboration between @solidarityscreeningsglasgow and @rupturecinema Dublin. Solidarity is something you can hold in your hands; is a Free Screening, Meal and Discussion taking place from 6p.m. on Friday, October 24th in @strangefieldglasgow , 105 French Street, Glasgow!

@rupturecinema and @1815fc are teaming up to collaborate with our dear friends @solidarityscreeningsglasgow and @secretgroundsman in Glasgow on the bank holiday weekend (Eire-side) of October, 24th to 26th, to celebrate the historic links between our cities and the shared perspectives of our collectives.
The weekend will kick off in a unique location in the east end of Glasgow on Friday 24th of October, with a selection of shorts curated by @rupturecinema and @solidarityscreeningsglasgow exploring the struggle of oppressed nations against imperialism, with particular attention paid to Ireland, Palestine and internationalism. The screening will feature food, discussion, zines and pamphlets - an all round three dimensional display of the educational and community creating potential of cinema.
The next day on Saturday the 25th of October, events will pick back where they left off in the afternoon as @1815fc and @secretgroundsman take all comers on a roaming football tour-nament, where a series of matches will take place across Glasgow’s public pitches, with music and agitprop pumping as we move and explore the city through the beautiful game.

In the midst of colonial onslaught and genocide, it is integral we use our mutual aid networks to contribute all as much as we can to those in need. We will announce the specific organisations closer to the time.
