Holy Alpha is a South African hip hop artist from Khayelitsha,
Cape Town. She is recognised for her authentic storytelling,
raw lyricism, and powerful isiXhosa expression. Rooted in
local street and township culture.
She began her music journey in 2016 and gained national
attention in 2020 with her breakout single “Ghost,
”which
made waves across the underground scene and earned her
recognition from key industry figures. She continued to build
momentum with releases such as “Subuza,
” further
establishing her lyrical skill and artistic identity.

HE IS A VERSATILE ARTIST WHO PLAYS AROUND WITH DIFFERENT SOUNDS, MAKING IT HARD TO CATEGORISE HIM
IN A GENRE BUT OFTEN MAGIC IS CREATED.

HE’S CURRENTLY AN UNDERGRAD STUDENT AT SOUTH AFRICAN
COLLEGE OF MUSIC STUDYING JAZZ. HE’S BEEN A PART OF THE DISTRICT SIX MUSICAL AND A CAST MEMBER
PLAYING ONE OF THE LEAD ROLE OF DAMAKA.

HE HAS GRACED THE STAGES OF THE BAXTER THEATRE, ATHLETIC CLUB & SOCIAL, THE ARTSCAPE, SELECTIVE
LIVE, STAGES AROUND SWITZERLAND AND JUST FINISHED A SHOW AT KAYA CAFE. HE MADE HIS FIRST PROJECT
IN 2023 CALLED ‘SONDELA’ WHICH IS 3 TRACK EP THAT INCLUDED HIS RELATIVELY SUCCESSFUL SINGLES
KHANGELA WENA & SONDELA. AND RECENTLY RELEASED HIS SINGLE ‘NJENA’

Featuring original music from Sethu G and Chadleigh Gowar, with an opening set by Table 42, the afternoon is laid out for your enjoyment.

A Spiritual Jazz Experience: Where Music Meets the Soul

From the very first note, it was clear that this was something different. The music did not rush; it breathed. A slow, meditative rhythm from the drums grounded the atmosphere, while the upright bass provided a steady, heartbeat-like pulse. Over this foundation, the saxophone rose like a voice in prayer—expressive, searching, and full of emotion. Each note felt intentional, as if it carried meaning beyond sound.

This was not an event driven by applause or spectacle. Instead, it fostered a sense of unity and shared presence. The boundaries between performer and listener dissolved, replaced by a collective energy that filled the room. It was as if everyone present was part of the same unfolding story, connected through rhythm and spirit!!!!!!
