@gitcharecordsis excited to share the sophomore release of Boston-based rockers Reckoners, "Where The Hell Am I?," a fiercely groovy and expansive album rooted in soul and steeped in rock & roll. Once again they channel the grit and groove of that classic sound we all know and love into something special and deeply personal.

Where The Hell Am I?—produced with Alan Evans of Soulive—follows up the momentum from Reckoners’ debut self-titled album, which featured Susan Tedeschi and caught the attention of major press globally and thousands of new fans in 2024.

Lead by Tim Gearan’s vulnerable and soulful singing and powered by rich layers of organ textures and guitar grooves, Reckoners deliver a new rock album that feels as timeless as ever. This new album also features a supporting cast of legendary performers, including Nigel Hall of Lettuce and Lamar Williams Jr.

@reckonersmusic is an all-star group featuring some of Boston’s top musicians. Tim Gearan fronts the group on vocals & guitar. The extraordinary guitarist Johnny Trama leads the band. The masterful Tom Arey holds down the rhythm section on drums. On bass is the one and only Marc Hickox, and on keyboards, the very talented Darby Wolf. Paying homage to early soul and classic rock, their songs and vibe make you experience something new and original yet completely familiar.

Jarrod Lawson’s "Just Let It" marks a confident and creatively expansive return for the Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and keyboardist. Building on the soulful, jazz‑rooted foundation that has defined his earlier work, Lawson uses his third album to explore new textures, new collaborators, and a broader emotional palette. The project arrives with strong momentum, following the success of his previous release Be the Change, which reached #2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart.

The album is anchored by two standout singles that showcase Lawson’s range. “Next Move,” a 90s‑inspired R&B groove featuring Raquel Rodriguez, topped both the US Urban Influencer R&B/Soul Top 30 and the UK Soul Chart. “Do Whatchu Gotta,” co‑written with French chill‑hop artist Rose Noir, shifts into a more atmospheric, slow‑burning mood, highlighting Lawson’s ability to blend genres without losing his signature warmth. Eric Roberson injects party‑funk charisma into “Laugh At Yourself,” while New York producer Carrtoons and rapper JSWISS help shape both the driving “Let Your Heart” and the tender ballad “I’d Do It Again.” Allen Stone lends his unmistakable soul vocals to “There Can Only Be One,” and donSMITH adds a sharp, modern edge to “Head‑On.” Together, these partnerships create a dynamic listening experience that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in classic soul craftsmanship.

With its blend of smooth jazz, R&B, funk, and modern soul, Just Let It stands as Lawson’s most collaborative and stylistically adventurous album to date. Its release on May 1, 2026, coincides with an active touring schedule - continuing across the US in March and expanding to the UK and Europe in July - positioning the record as both a creative milestone and a major moment in Lawson’s evolving career.

@gitcharecords is excited to share Let The Night Begin, the debut solo album from @troymercymusic , former Booker T. Jones and Fabulous Thunderbirds guitarist. @tcarmandrums of @parlorgreens produced this earthy and laterally-minded collection Mercy calls “Brave New Blues for a Mean Old World”. It is now available for pre-order via @selectohits (Link in our Bio) and will be out everywhere on May 29, 2026.

Troy Mercy is a guitarist’s guitarist but, says Mercy, “None of that guitar stuff is worth a damn if it has to live in lame songs. To me the songwriting comes first, then the singing has to be there to tell that emotional story for the listener. [This album] has a blend of some heavy riffs with more psychedelic imagery and eerier, more desert-blues vibes at times.”

Let The Night Begin features Mercy’s live drummer Harrison Foti, along with Tim Carman on four tracks. Bass is played by Marty Ballou (Peter Wolf, Danny Kortchmar, John Hammond Jr). The session was recorded live through vintage mics and glowing tubes. Dave Westner’s wood-fire-stove-heated family cabin on a pond in autumnal Plymouth, Mass was the scenery for this two day Rock & Roll party.
