My busy Friday this last week... got to stop by @sonoratownla for lunch after grabbing some stuff from @dtlbfarmersmarket then some beautiful bread we get from @gustobread for our burgers @selva.lbc 🍔

I cannot emphasize how much I love Long Beach’s growing love of collaborations and special menu dinners.

In this case, @chef_carlosjurado of @selva.lbc hosting one of SoCal’s brightest rising stars, Chef @sawsaw_13 of @thedutchessojai and @joplinsojai. Both honed their talents together at Bouchon, making this a reunion of sorts.

What to expect? Chef Saw’s love of melding Burmese cuisine into common dishes and Chef Carlos’s adoration of smoke and Latin American flavors. Smoked spare ribs with masala potato salad. Pork belly rice bowls with pineapple barbecue sauce. Stir-fry noodles with smoked brisket…
