WE JUST WON $125 MILLION FOR WHOLE-HOME REPAIRS!
Every person has a right to a home that is safe—a home that is healthy. For decades, urban, suburban, and rural communities alike have suffered from disinvestment from their government at all levels. The creation of the groundbreaking Whole-Home Repairs Program in this year’s budget changes that.
This win would not have been possible without the tireless organizing of a coalition of housing and energy advocates, community organizers, Pennsylvania residents, and legislators committed to fighting our state’s ongoing housing crisis.
This is a hard-fought victory for every Pennsylvanian who is struggling to stay in their home. This program is a direct investment in our people and our communities, whose needs have been ignored, and whose voices have gone unheard. At this time of protracted hardship across the Commonwealth, we have seized a historic opportunity to move the needle on our housing crisis—permanently.
What we have done sets a new standard. Today we have a program to preserve housing across the Commonwealth, to stabilize our communities, to prevent blight and abandonment and displacement, to build a skilled workforce to keep our state at the forefront of the industries of the future, and to protect the place that is most dear to all of us: home. I'm committed to fighting for every household to have what they need to make their home whole.
I am grateful to everyone who shared their story, their experiences, and their support for this program. My office may have put pen to paper, but this program was written by you. The United States needs a model for how to preserve its aging housing stock and create new jobs, and with the Whole-Home Repairs Program, we've made Pennsylvania a leader. ONWARD!!!

Thanks to @senatorsaval for joining our 4th period class to hear their ideas about issues with funding they face and to share his ideas on how funding could be increased for District schools. We appreciate the Senator for his openness and willingness to talk candidly about his work and our students’ experiences. While we discussed his success with securing grants for schools in his District, he emphasized that the solutions we need are more systemic, and talked to students about the need for institutions in our city like Penn to pay into the funding of our schools.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mom-figures who nurture our community 💐

Happy 60th anniversary to the inimitable @chinatownpcdc! Spent a wonderful evening celebrating with community members, government colleagues, and the incredible staff who help continue the vibrant legacy of our city's Chinatown.

From Stanford English Literature Ph.D. to Pennsylvania State Senator, Nikil Saval’s path has been anything but conventional. 📚🏛️
We caught up with Senator Saval to talk about the throughline connecting his love of books, how time in Bolivia impacted his time organizing with labor unions, his writing on architecture and cities, and his work today on the Urban Affairs and Housing Committee.
We got his take on Philadelphia’s semiquincentennial art moment and his favorite museums outside of the city.
Oh, and his pump-up song for the Broad Street Run? Ray of Light by Madonna. 🎶
🎧 New episode out now; link in bio, you know the drill.

One of the great days of my life, in the greatest city in the world. Congratulations to everyone who ran and cheered on. @ibxrun10

Excited to join thousands of Philadelphians in the Broad Street Run tomorrow (my first!). You’ll be able to see me because I’ll be running a lot…slower than everyone else. Wishing everyone a joyous and successful race—and for nothing but pain and suffering for Celtics fans tonight.
Happy International Workers’ Day 🌹
Today is a day to uplift our collective power, to commit to continue to struggle for a better world, and to honor all those who fought before us.
The bosses want us to believe that we are powerless. They know that when workers stand together we can win a world that works for the many, not the few.
I’m headed to City Hall at 4pm to stand with @phillyaflcio @uniteherephilly and comrades across the city to celebrate May Day and demand workers over billionaires!
The other 364 days, you’ll find me out on picket lines and standing with workers wherever they’re fighting for a better workplace and a better world for all of us. A few solidarity actions over the last year:
🌹I stood with @getupgrads at a practice picket ahead of a looming strike deadline – graduate workers went on to win a contract with massive wage increases, enhanced childcare and medical benefits, and additional supports for international students.
🌹I went to York with @sbwuphilly and @sbworkersunited, where baristas shut down a major East Coast distribution center during their historic multi-week strike.
🌹I joined @pennanurses for a practice picket at Wills Eye – nurses, techs, and allied professionals went on to win a new contract with increased patient and staff protections!
And so many more! Let’s keep up the fight ✊🏾

Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
