Back in 2020, when the world shut down and everything went quiet, the creativity didn’t.

The Session-In was an online platform curated by Battle Ave and hosted by Slopfunkdust during the heart of COVID. Every Friday night, producers from everywhere would tap in live via Zoom. No clubs. No studios. No crowds. Just raw talent through computer speakers.

Each producer had 3 minutes.

Three minutes to prove they were dope.
Three minutes to cut through the noise.
Three minutes to represent their sound.

It didn’t matter if you were boom bap, trap, lo-fi, experimental, sample-heavy, synth-driven — all types of producers pulled up. It became a digital stage for beat makers who were stuck in the house but still hungry.

This clip is me rocking scratches over one of my own beats during that era. No audience. No stage lights. Just passion, vinyl energy, and that competitive spirit that pushes you to level up.

Looking back, it wasn’t just a livestream. It was community. It was iron sharpening iron. It was producers reminding the world that creativity doesn’t quarantine.
