Bike to Wherever Day is one of our biggest city-wide efforts to get more people out on a bike (or any people-powered wheels of your choosing), whether that's bike commuting to work for the first time, or gathering friends and neighbors for a fun bike cruise down Sunset Dunes. But we need your support to make it bigger and better every year!

We’re heartened to see SFChronicle cover this recent action from SFPD, and we remain disappointed that they’ve shifted their very limited resources to detaining and penalizing cyclists when reckless driving remains the leading cause of traffic violence. The reason we demand SFPD “Focus on the Five” is because those are the five deadliest traffic infractions – when committed by vehicular traffic, not by people on bicycles.

Bike Wherever Day: Way too much fun!

Thanks to the @sfbike for making a really amazing day for folks to get out and have fun on their bikes.

We had a super fun crew and the stoke was high!

Thank you to all the volunteers that made this event special and most importantly for sharing the joy of life on 2 wheels.

From commuter to competitor and everyone in between, if you love cycling then get out and embrace the simple joy of moving under your own power.

This Thursday is Bike to Wherever Day, and we're keeping the day rolling into the evening with Valencia LIVE! with our Bike Away From Work Party! 🪩🕺

Join us from 5-9pm on Valencia for food, dancing, and music, plus we’ll have a drop-in dance class with @rhythmandmotion, our own Freedom from Training Wheels for little kids from 5-7pm, and a tiny bike relay races for the young at heart from 7-9p. (Valencia LIVE! goes until 10pm, we'll be there till 9!)

Also, our friends at @fortpointbeer will be pouring $5 bevs if you show your BTWD 2026 tote bag or your helmet. 🍻
