I’ve been a bit slow getting the first issue of 2026 out. A bit of procrastination, a bit of second guessing. But finally, here it is. Issue #19 Portraits ll. This edition brings together portraits made over the past fifteen years or so, (I think there is one from about 25years ago) some recent, others rediscovered while looking back through the archive whilst in search for something else. Different cities. Different cameras. Different lives sitting in front of the lens. At a time when images can be generated instantly, the simple act of sitting down in front of a camera feels more meaningful than ever. Portraiture always begins the same way, someone sits down, and we see what happens.

Shenge Kaphoaraoh, Tribeca, NY.

This new issue, Portraits II, brings together photographs made over roughly the past fifteen years. Some are recent, others I hadn’t looked at in quite a while. What struck me while putting the issue together was how consistent the act itself has remained. Technology changes, aesthetics shift, but the process of making a portrait is still remarkably simple. Someone agrees to sit. A conversation unfolds. Light falls across a face. You wait for something that feels honest to appear. The photographs in this issue are drawn from many of those moments, actors, artists, strangers and friends, all sitting down in front of the same camera at different points over the years. Looking back through them now, what interests me most is not how much has changed, but how much has remained the same. The same curiosity. The same search for presence. The same attempt to make something lasting from a very brief encounter.

For as long as I can remember, my brother @lukemaroun has loved being in front of the camera.

A lover of films, music, and storytelling, I think part of this has been a longing to see someone just like him reflected on screen.

And when he does, it means everything to him. He points and smiles, “Look, it’s my friend.”

It’s a kind of recognition, a knowing.

Because it’s not just about representation, it’s about knowing there’s a place for you in the worlds you’re watching.

This year’s World Down Syndrome Day theme is Together Against Loneliness. And given Luke’s journey, and our journey with DEPENDENT, it feels really relevant.

Because loneliness doesn’t just come from being different, it can also stem from feeling unseen.

Luke is the centre of our family, our rock. What makes him different is also his superpower.

He has never struggled to be himself. The world just hasn’t always known how to meet him there, but finally the tides are changing.

Today, and every day, I honour my brother Luke, and all individuals with Down syndrome who remind us that being fully and unreservedly yourself is more than enough.

Days like today move us closer to a world where everyone is visible, included, and part of the story.

Not as an exception, but as they are.

Thank you, dear Simon @sharsent, for capturing a glimpse of what I see in Luke every single day.

Sarah, Brooklyn, NY. Circa 2015.From BLAST ISSUE #19While putting this issue together I found myself going back through a lot of older work. What interested me wasn’t so much how the photographs had changed, but how the act of making them hadn’t.The same curiosity. The same search for presence. The same attempt to make something lasting from a brief encounter.

Nothing Random is an ongoing, shifting body of work, always in flux, always rebalancing itself. Each new photograph alters the shape of the whole, adding something, taking something away.
This image of an old tin shed, caught at dusk in the Australian outback, is one of those in-between moments. A pause on the side of another journey, a small reset I didn’t go looking for.
For this issue of BLAST, I’ve gathered these road-trip sightings, The Road Trip Series is quiet records of time, place, and instinct. Together they form a loose map of moments found when I thought I was focused on something

Issue 18, Nothing Random: The Road Trip Series.
This series is built from the moments that surface when I’m meant to be doing something entirely different. These photographs come from the edges of other assignment and projects, scenes that appear unannounced, pulling my eye away from the task ahead. They’re the incidental fragments that won’t leave me alone unless I stop, make the picture, and let them have their say.
Taken in passing, they’re the places that linger in my peripheral vision, the distractions I’m compelled to record so they stop occupying space in my mind and allow me to return to the work I’m supposed to be doing.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
