Heute bin ich gedanklich in schwarz gekleidet für die Derniere von Simon Stone‘s DREI SCHWESTERN. Es geht eine Inszenierung zu Ende, die mein Leben in mehrfacher und entscheidender Hinsicht verändert hat. Ich danke meinen geschätzten Heroes im Ensemble des @residenztheater, dass das Schwere mit euch immer so leicht ging. Danke @robinormond, danke @nikolausknabl, danke Baragraph Basel und danke @simonandrewstone für too many people in the kitchen. What a fantastic show we have created.

Danke für 60 ausverkaufte Vorstellungen in mehreren Ländern. Danke Theo, hat Spaß gemacht. Und danke Mascha, unglaublich, jetzt sind es schon zehn Jahre.

One of my heroes Béla Tarr died today. You don't forget the first Béla Tarr film you watch. Werckmeister Harmonies was mine - I quickly gobbled up the back catalogue and the films he made thereafter. Nobody made contemplative cinema like him. Dripping with soul, elegiac and melancholy, these films are a deep pleasure to commit yourself to. If you're not in a patient mood, don't start, and certainly not with Sátántango, his 7-hour chef d'œuvre... I watch his films in the morning with a cup of coffee, as my brain kicks into gear, while I'm still a little wide-eyed and almost naive... his films go beyond understanding or logic to somewhere much deeper... treat it like a walk around a beautiful gallery, free associate, surrender. Do yourself the favour!! RIP Béla!!

Choreographer @benjaminmillepied’s dance-drama, “Romeo & Juliet Suite,” a reimagining of Prokofiev’s iconic ballet in a contemporary, site-specific take blending dance, theater, and film

The largest iteration to date of @celesteboursiermougenot’s ongoing aquatic and musical installation, “clinamen”

@simonandrewstone’s Korean-language adaptation of Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard” starring Doyeon Jeon and @haesoopark_official

Steve Reich’s “Music for 18 Musicians” presented in the Drill Hall as a cycling, durational performance by musical visionary @alanconducts, new-music ensemble @alarmwillsound, the original Steve Reich Ensemble, and emerging musicians from the @msm.nyc

Visionary performance artist Marina Abramović’s (@abramovicinstitute) Armory-commissioned “Balkan Erotic Epic,” a durational experience inspired by Balkan folklore and mythology, merging traditional elements of performance with sensuality and eroticism, removing modern taboos to reclaim the body as a site of power, mystery, and transformation
