Last month, @sarahhankinson_artist hosted a still life drawing class featuring Soflower one-off arrangements 🌸✏️

There was something incredibly therapeutic about creating these pieces while imagining how each arrangement would be seen through the eyes of someone drawing it, the textures, the squiggles, the tiniest details and then watching every person interpret nature in their own unique way. ✨

It was a dream day for me, made even more special by being held at the @mpavilion , designed by my favourite architect, Tadao Ando. His work has been deeply influential in the beginnings of Soflower when I visited Naoshima Art Island - the way nature, art, and architecture can make you feel something profound and transport you into another dimension 🌸🦋

— Ruby & Darcy’s Love Party ❤️‍🔥

Set in the Otways on Gadubanud Country, the day started with a Welcome to Country, rolled into a relaxed cocktail hour, then a love ceremony that felt like them.

By night, everything shifted under the marquee with vintage parachutes draped overhead, softening the forest clearing and setting the tone for a night centred on music, connection and being together.

Deep reds and plum burgundy carried through the space with sculptural florals, layered draping and a custom heart backdrop, with fringed lampshades we designed and made in-house adding that warm, intimate glow.

A celebration that felt entirely their own!
