Something Corporate released their album “Leaving Through the Window” on May 7, 2002 (with some parts of the internet saying May 21– but according to absolutepunk . net archives, it was originally May 7)

The album blended pop-punk with piano rock in a way that instantly catapulted the band from Drive Thru Records to a major label distributor, MCA records.

If you know anything about me and what I do for a living outside of the podcast, then you know I play piano for a living— and for the last 5 years, mainly at emo / pop-punk genre adjacent festivals and events— most recently even performing alongside Andrew McMahon himself. So needless to say, this record is wildly important to me, as well as all of Andrew’s discography.

I’m partnering with @coloradosymphony for a very special symphony show for the 17th Annual Dear Jack Benefit at Boettcher Hall in Denver! We just started working on the set list and no music is off limits, so expect songs from @somethingcorporate , @jacksmannequin and @amnthewilderness - drop your must-hears below for me?

In a tough decision, we moved the fundraiser off of 11/11 to give more people a chance of coming on the weekend.

Ticket sales are handled a little differently than you might be used to:
• You can buy tickets today if you are a member of the Colorado Symphony. If not…
• You can sign up in my bio link for Artist Presale, which happens on April 1. After you sign up, about 30 minutes before tickets go on sale, you’ll receive a code to use that morning.
• Otherwise, tickets go on sale everywhere on April 3
