While listening to this soothing favorite band of mine at this current time (highly recommended!), I thought to drop a few words here. Communication by every modern mean has never been my strongest ability (sorry everyone concerned), so I take this opportunity to thank everyone that gave me the chance to spend time playing, dancing, sharing music and thoughts all around the globe this year.
Despite the evident hard times and chaos, I see so much passion, motivation and talent growing within new and old creative sonic bubbles. This is not only wonderful, it’s the key solution to all evils.
I wish everyone to find peace and strength wherever you are. On a more selfish DJ note, I wish to see more functioning vinyl DJ booths (not boobs) in 2025. Truth is, vinyl is thriving more than ever, everyone has an imprint, prints amazing records, makes label showcases.. but in the past few months, I could only play them on a very small handful amount of gigs.
It’s not rocket science, doesn’t need to be pretty, just solid, sturdy, at the right height and with a decent monitoring. I hope it’s not too demanding, but if you still want to be able to enjoy likeminded sets from dinosaur DJs like me, that little effort will make all the difference :)
