It was great playing at @sonorities this year in Belfast. I feel blessed to take my cinematic apocalyptic noise to such an amazing high-tech space, performing in the Sonic Lab at @qubelfast at one of the festival's immersive audio concerts.
I spent a lot of time during my Masters refining the immersive listening album that the tracks I performed came from (no, it's still not out). Although there was therefore some confidence that they work spatially, it's tricky to know how it pans out (pun intended) in a larger space and I was so glad to run them though such a powerful immersive sound system.
I got some great feedback from the audience, with @lia_mice saying it felt like interstellar travel! That's a bit more refined a comment than my last (and more hectic) AV set where someone said it made their partner throw up. I'm happy taking compliments where I can get them to be honest.
A real mixture of interesting performances, talks and programming at Sonorities. Check it out next year!
