Black Lion have come a long way since modding Digi 002s, and the Revolution 14x16 feels like a proper step into serious studio hub territory

You’re getting 14 inputs, 16 outputs, USB C, ADAT expansion, S PDIF, word clock, dedicated sends and returns for outboard gear, and three separate headphone outputs, so there is a lot of room here for growing hybrid setups 👀

The real flavour comes from the Auteur preamps with Cinemag transformers, giving you a bit more weight and character on the way in, while Black Lion’s clocking and conversion story keeps things feeling properly studio minded

A very strong option for anyone ready to move beyond the usual desktop interface and into something with more I O, more routing, and a little analogue attitude 🔥

Equipment in order of appearance:

Suitcase - I just get a big cheap one from Primark

2 x Roland Street Cube EX

Jack Cable Cables - For Guitar, linking speakers, linking FX pedals

XLR Cables - For Mic

Music Cable - specific name is Stereo Jack to mini Aux Cable

Mini Jack to Phone Adapter

Vocal Pedal - I use Zoom V3 cos the reverb is sick and it has harmony effects but the reverb on Cube is does have a really good default reverb so this isn’t essential

Sontronics Mic - Best mic I’ve ever used, powerful and perfect for busking however I also use it for live shows

Xvive U45 In Ear Monitors - This isn’t essential however I would recommend IEM’s to anyone, it’s my favourite bit of kit and Xvive are a fantastic, affordable option for all types of performance.

IEM Earphones - shown around 50 seconds in, I just get £30 ones from Amazon, they do the trick!

CD’s, Business Cards, Busking Sign - these are all perfect ways to increase income & promote yourself!

Rechargeable Batteries - Amazon do loads of great ones, saves SO much money having to buy them every time you busk.

SET UP:

1. Put rechargeable batteries into cube speakers and place in front of you
2. Plug microphone into processor or straight into speaker (flick to mic setting on amp, jack cable from right line out to mic input if using processor)
3. Plug your Music cables into the right & left input on the same speaker your mic is plugged into.
4. As shown in the video, get a jack cable and in your main speaker go from ‘right line out’ to ‘right line in’ on the other speaker to carry the sound over.
5. Plug in ear reciever into left line out of either speaker, clip in your sender to your belt or pocket and insert earphones.
6. Make CD’s & signs nic and visible.
7. Enjoy your busk!
