Our delightful international clients at #sungeneration took the blinkers off, cut the shackles and gave us a Saturn 5 so that we could, not so much "cross the line" as "leave it behind in an alternative universe".

Outer cartons saturated in character, inner cartons with plenty to say for themselves and unique front of pack cup renders this range is set to turn heads and change attitudes.

We've been pencil squeezing for 10 years! Whilst we look forward to 2025 we also thought we'd share a little retrospective of 2024 in this series of posts.

Looking back on 2024, we seemed to have ploughed a very deep drinks furrow. We helped Gretel & Belle launch two ranges of Horchata drinks, working closely with the incredible hashtag#FrankieSevern who steered the project impeccably as usual.

OK I've got a secret to share. At the end of a working day I put aside my "Golden Hour" where I noodle about and develop brand and product ideas that need to come out of my head ... just for sh*ts 'n' giggles. Here's a quick visual to bring an idea to life.

So you know in any fashionable lifestyle and interiors retailer you'll find any number of artisan candle brands called "Harry and Mable" or "Gin & Bonnet"? I want a brand that is super high end quality but with a slightly disconcerting edge to it.

Imaging walking into your posh friends house, asking what the delightful smell is and they say "Yeah, have you heard of The Stink Witch?"

OK it's time for my bye byes...

Those of you who have known us over the years have probably had experience of our "Blue Sky" projects. If we have an idea for a product we'll draw it and pitch the concept. We don't understand why a great idea shouldn't be shared.

Here's part of a large seasonal gifting pitch we produced for our next door neighbours. The pack was to be an eggsclusive (I know!) for Waitrose at the time when Marmite eggs and an avocado looking egg were on shelf.

An upside down 80% cocoa and naga chilli egg over a Tracklements mint jelly dipping "basket". Presented with full production costs including matching the illustration style. Totally on-brand and ready to rock.

When working on a retail interior or in this case the exhibition stand for Foreva Farmers we like to include a signature piece - that show stopper that everyone wants to steal off the stand.

We work on shopper marketing campaigns for Nando's, Costa and Wagamama, here's our tips for successful implementation.

1. Know the retailers, ASDA uploads differ from CoOp who differ from Morrison's and all need labelling correctly.

2. Understand the brief - All About Food always give us a clear idea of what's needed or how much we need to add.

3. Be massively on point with photoshop - we often need to take a portrait image and reformat to super wide.

4. Watch the clock - speed and accuracy are key as we often work in a triangular sign off between brand, our client and the retailer.

Simples!
