Ancient memories and frequencies:
rediscovered, remembered, reclaimed.

Through the birth canal of culture
we are invited to bring forth new ways

The fabric of humanity

These words are by @stavyeini — an artist who creates spaces where the body becomes an instrument of collective memory and transformation. Drawing on dream fragments, embodied listening, and the invisible architectures that connect us, her practice explores how communities can be reimagined in times of rupture.

For @dc_open — Düsseldorf and Cologne’s annual weekend of gallery and art space openings — Yeini’s work unfolds across both the collective energy of the city and moments of intimate listening. Her performance for the closing at Malkasten Park invites audiences to gather for the final encounters of the weekend, while the Velvet Collective presents an installation that can be experienced throughout the day.

Roots like veins pumping from the heart of the earth to our human heart
Springing tones of fresh streaming rivers…Continuing the movement that begun before us and will continue after all the life will pass through this channels.
Our bodies start breathing earth, harmonising with her, seeing-feeling her in our veins brains, blood, DNA,
Sending nourishment , sending remembrance, sending water infused with rosemary and vanilla, sending oranges and rose petals, whispering validity to your deepest fears, deepest depressions, deepest desires. Singing acknowledgments to the mute parts of you, to the broken, the unspoken, to the unacknowledged loss, the hidden, the unheard of. Deep deep listening IS the birthing of this new ERA. I am you, the earth is me and we are one body.

Body of knowledge, body of water, body of memory, body of inheritance - body of interwoven inheritance. An architecture of ancestral transmissions.
