Is he really a big bad wolf? 🐺
In the final instalment of our BTS series for ‘Peter & The Wolf’, Bono and @gavin_friday discuss the intention behind the animated portrayal of the infamous wolf, and how the magic of Gavin’s narration brought it all to life.
Let’s talk about craft 🎨
Part Three of our ‘Peter & The Wolf’ series is here, with Bono inviting us behind-the-scenes to see the process that went into turning his drawings into visual poetry, by a team of incredibly talented animators and artists.

In Part Two of our ‘Peter & The Wolf’ BTS series, Bono and @gavin_friday look back at the origins of the project, revealing how it found its way into the world of animation two decades later.

Ever wondered how @stevmcn and @elliotdear_animation’s beloved tale of Peter & the Wolf came to be? 🐺
Well wonder no more! We’ll be dropping weekly episodes that step behind-the-scenes of the gothic re-invention of the folktale we all know and love.
In Part One, the origins of the project are explored in conversation with Bono and @gavin_friday.
Peter and the Wolf! Toby Howell, Elliot Dear and Max Halstead devised a fresh camera move on set with motion control at Clapham Road; Yoshimichi Tamura’s roughs animating to the new route; Eleonora Quario’s cleanup after I’ve shaded and comped them into the shot, tracking in Xavier Ren’s matte paintings and Adam Glasman’s lovely deep dark grade over the top
Peter and the Wolf again! Elliot Dear puppeted this wheelbarrow on set as a guide for Toby Howell’s camera probe and Max Halstead’s moco move. But we liked the jankiness of it and its wobbly wheel, so instead of replacing it with a CG wheelbarrow, Andy McPherson had the massive task of interpreting the wobbles and bounces for grandfather and Peter to steer, and I comped Elliot and his stick out, replacing him with Xavier Ren’s matte painting clouds and trees.
I'm heading to Edinburgh, where I'll talk about Peter & The Wolf on Friday morning, so delighted to be able to share this little sneak peek, breaking down a single shot:

Amazing news! Peter & The Wolf has been nominated for 3 Emmy Awards!

Earlier this year I worked on this lovely project for the Coop, directed by Sam Gainsborough with Blinkink. I was involved in nearly every stage, designing characters and locations, previs, story boarding, particle animation, VFX supervision and comp. It was a delight.

I was delighted to be able to help on this @samgainsborough Blinkink job, figuring out how to bring William Blake's paintings to life for Tate, with some lovely, delicate drawn 2d animation.

Very excited to say that Peter and the Wolf has been nominated for the British Animation Awards for Best Long-form Animation!

Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
