Stian Korntved Ruud

Oslo Art Weekend 28 – 31 MAY.
Join us for Stian Korntved Ruud’s performance on Thursday, May 28, at 4:30 PM!
One of the main works in the exhibition ‘Patterns of Interference’ by @stkoru is a modified piano instrument that is self-playing, but can also be used for musical improvisations. The artist will perform with the instrument on Thursday afternoon, May 28.
Stian Korntved Ruud works at the intersection of sculpture, sound, craft and system-based experimentation. Through self-developed instruments, mechanical objects, process-based sculptures and everyday actions, the works explore how time, repetition, material resistance and simple rules can produce complex forms and experiences.
Sound in this context is treated as a physical material on a par with wood, metal and mechanical components. Something that can be shaped, accumulated, shifted and set in resonance with its surroundings.
Stian Korntved Ruud @stkoru (b. 1989, Bærum) is a product designer educated at Oslo Met and was one of the founders of the design group Kneip. He has exhibited internationally and is represented at the National Museum, Oslo, and KODE in Bergen.

Utstillingsåpning @ramgalleri 21 Mai kl 1800
Patterns of Interference

Welcome to the opening of Patterns of Interference at RAM galleri on May 21 at 18:00.
Through self-playing instruments, resonant metal surfaces, tuning forks, and wooden sculptures, the exhibition explores how sound, vibration, and materials affect one another over time. The works move between control and autonomy, between harmonic patterns and unstable feedback systems.
Hope to see you there.

I’ve had the great pleasure of being part of the @homofaber Fellowship Program for the past six months.
During this time, @mobelbain has been my fellow, supporting me in my daily progress. We also had the opportunity to collaborate on a project, which will be presented at the Homo Faber exhibition in Milan next week.
Sometimes not all samples fit into the material library. I usually stick to a standard size of 10x10 cm for flat material samples. In recent years, more and more natural materials have been added, and I’ve been searching for a solution for how to store these.
The first test is paper boxes – laser-cut and folded from old archive folders.
The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
