The songs: Past Life - Trevor Daniel (With Selena Gomez). It’s really special to see a song come to life in a way where it sounds like it’s exactly how it was meant to be. Caroline, Sean and Mick I love you all so much, here’s to writing more raw as fuck vulnerable songs that seemingly come out of no where. We wrote “Asteio” by accident and almost threw it out.

We were writing a completely different song when this idea showed up out of nowhere. I was ready to move on, but Evangelia turned to me and said, “No… there’s something special here.”

If she didn’t say that in that exact moment, the idea would’ve lived and died as a forgotten voice note.

Some songs you have to fight for. You rewrite, overthink, push the boulder up the hill. And then there are the ones that feel like they just… arrive. They’re made of all the songs that weren’t quite it, all the ideas that didn’t feel honest enough, all the ones that came before it.

We wrote the lyrics with our friends Daphne and Ripen, and with every line it got more vulnerable. @chicobeats took the production that Jordan and I started and added a pocket that feels like crying down the streets of Athens.

Fast forward to the video - George, who’s been growing with us for years, finally got to direct his first real music video on a concept we’ve been carrying around for almost six years. Watching him bring it to life with Evangelia felt like a full circle moment for all of us like the universe saying, “Yeah, this one was worth waiting for.”

This song is what happens when something comes when you least expect it… and then you choose to honor it, piece by piece, until it fully becomes what it’s meant to be. It’s a snapshot of everything we’ve been building with Evangelia - the heart, the culture, the risk, the art.

For the last 1.5 years I have worked tirelessly on a decade long dream to create the Gorrilaz of dance music. This weekend @deathpixiexx put on the first virtual DJ performance at Red Rocks with @deadmau5.

We started 18 months ago with nothing. We obsessively explored a new sound and visual world. We released over 30 songs. We posted everyday and built a dedicated fan base of 115k IG followers with over 50 million views across her videos. We collaborated with some of the most iconic artists in the history of dance music like @deadmau5 @skylargrey @t78official and new artists who are carving that same path for themselves like @oddkidout @raizhellofficial @meryllofficial @prxdead .

It’s hard to find the words to describe how proud I am of this team and everyone who works on DEATHPIXIE’s music, art, live show and career. Thank you all, the world isn’t ready for what’s next ⚔️
