Complex doesn’t have to mean difficult and expensive. This 10’ x 6’ geometric panel was fully fabricated and assembled in 2.5 hours by two people using less than $500 in materials.

AI Designed and Built
Mockup - St. Louis, Missouri (2024)
@studio.construction + @arturotedeschi + @wiesoffsite

As artificial intelligence continues to permeate industries like architecture, engineering, and construction, designers are now generating astonishing concepts of intricate structures and buildings. Yet, a natural question arises: can these designs transition from the digital realm to reality? The resounding answer: Yes.

The concept image was created by computational designer Arturo Tedeschi, who is at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of AI tools in the design process. He conducted a series of design explorations using Midjourney and Stable Diffusion and it turned the image into a 3D mesh model by using an algorithmic-based edge detector completed by a triangulation algorithm and manual refinement.

To build a model of such complexity, the software StudFinder by STUD-IO was used. This intelligent fabrication tool streamlined the process of modeling and detailing, ensuring precision in the creation of the mockup. STUD-IO’s software understands fabrication and assembly constraints, and it automatically generates manufacturable solutions for a given design.

The software generated machine files for a FrameCAD steel stud roll forming machine located at Wies Offsite, an offsite construction company based in St. Louis, MO. Wies Offsite fabricated and assembled the complex frames for this mockup in a single day. This efficiency is notably remarkable, especially considering the precision and customization required to ensure that all components seamlessly fit together into the precise 3D shape of the design.

At Arturo Tedeschi Computational Design, STUD-IO Computational Construction, and Wies Offsite, we believe AI tools will become increasingly useful and important within AEC, from design through construction.

Headed to #AutodeskUniversity next week? Make sure to stop by the One Autodesk Expo to see STUD-IO’s “Frame Study One” (and to say hi to the STUD-IO team!). This large, complex structure was designed with our #StudFinder software and is composed of 40 unique frames,
which were fabricated with a @howickltd roll forming machine and assembled at the Autodesk Technology Center in Boston. It will be assembled on site in Vegas this weekend—so stay tuned for updates!

Happening tomorrow! We are putting the final touches on the "AI as Client" installation at the Autodesk Technology Center for tomorrow’s #SteelHorizons Conference. Testing the boundaries of the latest technological advances, our team is demonstrating how generative AI and intelligent software such at ChatGPT and StudFinder are increasingly allowing architects to design their boldest ideas and builders and fabricators to realize them with ever-greater efficiency, speed, and cost savings. Closing the gap between radical imagination and what’s practical, smart technologies are literally and metaphorically enabling the AEC industry to break out of the box.

This is a sneak peek at the framing model for the installation we are preparing for the upcoming @howickltd #SteelHorizons Conference this Thursday, June 22nd at the @autodesk Technology Center Boston. The tower, designed by @the_ladg and constructed with @windover_construction using Howick’s steel framing machines, uses our intelligent StudFinder™ software to quickly develop fabrication-ready framing, automatically producing machine files, parts lists, and assembly drawings for the structure. Curving studs, custom connections…anything is possible as we build this series of vertical modules that alternate between normative boxes and unfolded “boxes,” each unleashed from their orthogonal constraints in different ways (that LADG designed in conversation with ChatGPT as a client)! Learn more on our website.

Install has begun at One River North in Denver, Colorado! Designed by MAD Architects, the building’s complex geometry required an out-of-the-box solution. Our BarBender software enabled the fabrication of highly accurate complex panels using 3D bent bars that were rationalized, then exported as machine files and assembly drawings with a single click.

Check out the latest from the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas where we are well underway on the MSG Sphere, a futuristic event venue that will be the largest spherical structure in the world! STUD-IO helped develop an efficient approach to designing, fabricating, and installing the prefabricated panels of the “collar,” a twisting surface that curves around the base of the building and supports the sphere. Our StudFinder software was used to design the custom panel frames, as well as automate workflows for other digitally fabricated components such as the CNC foam parts for the EIFS finish. Learn more about the project on our website.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.

Advantages of Anonstories

Explore IG Stories Privately

Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.

Private Instagram Viewer

View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.

Story Viewer for Free

This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
