Super exciting night as a large cadre of poetry fans heard writer @stumpyduong read from “At The End of The World There Is A Pond,” his wonderful book of poems just published by @w.w.norton

Hosted by local poet Ida Bakhtiary-Rahimi (who read some of her beautifully evocative and funny poems to start the evening), Steven shared some of his “Novel” sonnets (about the act of creating) and “Curfew,” one of my favorites, and several other poems from this first collection of heart-wrenching, humor-filled poems about, according to Steven, unanswerable questions.

There was even some discussion about Steven’s story, “Dorchester,” published in the “2024 Best American Short Stories” collection published by @marinerbooks and edited by @legroff and @heidi_pitlor_editorial
