Today, 27 April 2026, marks exactly 111 years since the Russian composer Alexander Scriabin passed away. In his late works, including the symphonic poem «Prometheus – Le Poème du feu», he anticipated harmonic developments that, according to some musicologists, paved the way to twelve-tone music. In my orchestral piece »Prometheus 111« I use Scriabin's mystical chord and some other motifs to recall the composer’s contribution to musical modernism. The lyrics and groove by James Gruntz , Nina Gutknecht and Klu bring the cosmos of this remarkable composer back to life in today’s world.
