Another BIG show!!! We’re doing it again!!
On 21st March, Banger Factory Records brings its sound to Kings Place. It’s a full-day showcase of six releases on BFR, each one a reflection of the label’s spirit.
I’ve had the privilege of recording some of this music at my studio, witnessing the care, seriousness, and deep love of jazz that runs through the label and its members. What Mark Kavuma has created is amazing. A home and melting pot for artists with a shared musical language and understanding.
Like all BFR events, this is going to be one to remember.

…And a Magnum Opus it certainly was…. It took a whole week of recording to record this one and then some. We played all day until we could play no more. We covered so much music cover, lots of it didn’t make the album. We had to call in a favour from my bro @clubkuru to finish the tracking and then we spent over a week mixing with @nostalgia___77 …

At times it seemed like an impossible task but as always when working with @markkavuma his dedication, belief in the music and brilliance as a band leader pulled us all through.

As ever I feel extremely great full to be part of @thebangerfactory playing saxophone on this record and recording a lot of it at my studio
