We are thrilled to feature Tafv Sampson @tafvsampsonas part of our Native Women in Film Panel on Sunday, November 23rd at Arc Studios. Tafv is a pioneering Indigenous filmmaker and storyteller, best known for her work on Reservation Dogs @rezdogsfx , the groundbreaking series that has created a cultural seismic shift by centering Native voices with humor, heart, and authenticity.

Reflecting on the first day of filming, Tafv recalls the profound weight and excitement of the moment: the crew gathered outside to honor what they were about to embark on, feeling a spark that “this will change everything.” Surrounded by Elders, guided by Sterlin Harjo (@sterlinharjo) and moved by the legacy of her ancestors, she shared a moment of pride and emotion with her late father; a testament to how this work carries the dreams and resilience of generations past into the present.

The success of Reservation Dogs has done more than entertain, it has invited audiences into the homes, humor, and heart of Indigenous communities. Tafv’s storytelling captures intergenerational love, the joys and challenges of adolescence, and the power of community, showing the world that Indigenous narratives are vibrant, complex, and universal in their humanity.

We are honored to have Tafv Sampson join our panel, bringing her vision, experience, and trailblazing perspective to celebrate the power and influence of Native women in film alongside @ericajtremblay & @lorenkwaters at our Sunday film panel.
