From raw metal to sacred tradition. 🗡️✨
Crafting the Kadara—the traditional dagger used in the advanced Ankathari stage of Kalaripayattu. In our practice, weapons are extensions of the body, and the process of making them is an extension of our devotion to the art.
Honoring the ancient roots and the timeless craft behind the movement, though its much less time consuming today because of modern equipments.
⚠️ DISCLAIMER: Educational content. This video demonstrates the traditional restoration/craftsmanship of historical martial arts training gear for cultural awareness. Absolutely no weapons are for sale.

What you seek is seeking you. Three years in, the journey with Kalari has been incredible.

What started as a tool to heal from spinal injuries, led to a journey that involved showing up, falling out of rhythm, healing, returning again, learning slowly through all the ups and downs to what it is today. The more you learn, you also realise that it’s not about how many new things you learn, as much as it is about how much you imbibe what already is.

This journey rekindled the deep love for martial arts. A little girl’s dream came true, a sign of homecoming. I am grateful that it found me at the right time.

And my teacher was the only reason I stuck to the practice in the initial days(even now that’s a major reason).

Sometimes a person’s belief in you is the reason you continue to stay when you don’t have any of your own. As adults a more holistic approach is the way through, and having a teacher like @tarunkumar.km made the journey incredible and fun. The integrity with which the practices are offered makes it even more sacred.

Certain things resonate with you because something in you was already moving toward them. Don’t let age be a reason to not pursue something you love. It’s not going to be easy, but it’s not impossible too. Whatever it takes!

I still don’t understand what the weight of the words ‘Meyyu Kannakanam’ carries, and neither have any idea about how to fully arrive there. Just a faint idea.

PoV : Moments from a self-practice. And some journal reflections that followed.

Kalaripayattu Guru and Practitioner Tarun Kumar has created a Kalari space in his house with a floor of mud and a roof with tiles. There is no synthetic material in this space, not even of attitude.

The children learning are eager, curious and respectful dressed in traditional attire for ease of practice and safety.

They are in different stages of training but there's no difference in their attitude or confidence.

@tarunkumar.km ji spoke to INDICA about how he shifted from body building to Kalaripayattu and the lineage that he belongs to - the Vadakkan tradition, a journey which begins quite literally with the legs.

The system begins with sixty-four foundational variations that form the base of practice. From there, Kalari expands into a multi-dimensional discipline encompassing Mei Murai, Yuddha Murai, Jeevana Murai, and Upasana Murai - integrating physical training, martial application, healing sciences, and a path toward inner transformation.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
